About us
Canberra PCYC has been supporting the Canberra Regional Area since 1957. Since then our service delivery has expanded to provide tailored programs to anyone needing support or social inclusion through our innovative approach. Canberra PCYC (CPCYC) is a not-for-profit organisation whose primary purpose is to build positive futures for at-risk young people, and to assist young people from entering the justice system. We adopt a client-centered approach that works closely with families, education services and other formal and non-formal support networks. We are a trusted stakeholder within the statutory and community service system, giving families, police, the youth justice system and the courts a sound destination to which to divert young people.

Canberra PCYC had the privilege of joining our close friends at the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council for a memorable Cultural Camp. A huge thank you to Tamara, the CEO, and the Park Rangers for hosting our young people and giving them an unforgettable experience. Over the course of a few days, the group enjoyed whale watching, a late-night wildlife expedition, learning about the history of Wreck Bay, shucking oysters, a beach drive, and so much more

🌿 Support a Program with Purpose! 🌿 When you book the Southside Mower Shed team to take care of your yard, you’re not just getting a beautiful lawn—you’re making a real impact in our community! 💚 Our crew is part of a social enterprise program that gives young people the chance to learn valuable skills, gain work experience, and build brighter futures. Every job helps these young workers break the cycle of welfare dependency and empowers them to move toward independence and success. 🌱 So, next time you need your lawn mowed or your yard tidied up, remember: you’re not just hiring a service; you’re supporting a cause that changes lives! 🌟 Book now and make a difference! 📞 0412 410 788 or email mowershed@pcyc.net.au #MowersWithPurpose #SupportYouth #SocialEnterprise #SouthsideMowerShed #CommunityImpact

There are some events we do that are just so special to the team. This week 4 of the team Chris, Will, Evie and Aaron, are spending a few days in Batlow, New South Wales at the Batlow Technology Central School, delivering programs including trauma recovery, BBQ and a whole bunch of fun and support Canberra PCYC style. Batlow was hit hard during the bushfires and is still recovering from the firestorm that took place. Judging by the photos everyone had a great day today!
