The CPG is a team of researchers, software engineers, data scientists, and other staff working with communities and a large network of research and clinical partners to solve critical problems facing the adoption of genomic medicine in Australia. The Centre was formed as a joint initiative between the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney and Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Melbourne. We operate as a single remote-first team, with team members in over 7 locations across Australia and New Zealand.

We're looking for a builder to take on a new Operations Lead role for the Centre for Population Genomics, playing a key role in delivering our mission of a more equitable model for genomic medicine. The Centre has already delivered diagnoses to hundreds of families affected by severe genetic diseases, and is now working with under-represented communities to ensure their inclusion in genomic research. With the Centre now at nearly 40 staff, we need someone who cares deeply about building and optimising operational processes to help us continue to grow and deliver. This role will include improving and maintaining our systems for finance, HR, and other key areas, working closely with the admin teams in our partner organisations Garvan Institute of Medical Research and Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI).
