Meet Eloise Kimpton, our Community Fundraising and Engagement Manager at the Children's Hospital Foundation. For almost four years, Eloise has been the heart of our community fundraising efforts, driving meaningful initiatives and working closely with our generous supporters to turn their passion into life saving support for sick and injured kids across Queensland. After taking maternity leave, Eloise was able to return to work earlier than expected in a way that suited both her and her family, thanks to the flexibility and support we provide. "The Foundation supported my transition to a part-time role and allowed me to manage my schedule flexibly between working from home and in the office." At Children's Hospital Foundation, we are stronger when we empower each other. We're proud to support our team in a way that works for them – because making a difference starts with taking care of our people. Want to be a part of a team that's driven by purpose? A world-first breakthrough at the Children’s Brain Cancer Centre is bringing hope to children with brain cancer and their families. Funded thanks to our $5.6 million commitment to the Children’s Brain Cancer Centre, researchers at QIMR Berghofer and Emory University have developed a drug that can effectively penetrate the blood-brain barrier – long considered a “safe haven” for cancerous cells. When combined with standard radiation therapy, CT-179 can improve survival, delay recurrence of the disease and increase the effectiveness of radiotherapy. The advancement is one of many that the team at Children’s Brain Cancer Centre is pursuing to change the outcomes for children with brain cancer – an advancement that would not be possible without our generous community and partners like The Lott by Golden Casket Read more about this world-leading breakthrough at https://lnkd.in/gdBHr_4r The Lottery Corporation

What a December to remember! 💚 This festive season, our incredible volunteers dedicated over 840 hours of their time to create joy and magic for children spending Christmas in hospital. With the generous support of our community and partners, our volunteers helped facilitate 838 special Santa visits for patients and their families, and our staff sorted through hundreds of toys donated through our annual toy drive, ensuring every patient and their sibling had a present to wake up to on Christmas morning. We are so grateful to everyone who played a part and volunteered their time!
