Deep tech success requires collaboration, and Rux Energy, led by Dr Jehan Kanga, is a great example of this spirit in action. Their recent funding from the federal government’s Cooperative Research Centres (CRC-P) project grant is a testament to their innovative approach to hydrogen storage technology. Rux Energy's project, in partnership with the University of Sydney, Vireo Energy, CST Composites, ANL Container Line, and South Australian Hydrogen Hubs, will advance nanoporous materials for hydrogen storage. This initiative aims to drive cost, efficiency, and safety improvements, helping Australia take a key step forward in the energy transition.
Founder & CEO - Rux Energy | Accelerating decarb for the world's maritime, trucking, rail and aviation fleets using advanced hydrogen storage
Things moving at lightning speed for us at Rux Energy - we're very excited to be one of the named awardees from Cth DISR Minister Ed Husic MP in the latest CRC-P Round 16 grants. We're particularly excited to be partnering with ANL, Vireo Energy, SA-H2H Hydrogen Technology Cluster, and CST Composites as we explore electron-2-electron efficiency dividends, and bulk transport modes which can deliver hydrogen at cost parity with diesel, and opportunities to commence low cost low carbon bulk hydrogen shipped to our friends in Singapore before 2030, aligned to the Singapore Australia Green Economy Agreement. The project is a major investment in collaborative R&D (CR&D) with the University of Sydney and deepens commercialisation work which commenced in 2021 with $99k support from Innovative Manufacturing CRC (IMCRC) and then $2.77M support under CRCP11. Rux and USYD have together built sovereign sorption testing infrastructure and developed new green chemistry breakthroughs which radically changes the way the world thinks about MOF unit economics. The project represents a continuation of Rux's most significant Public Research Organisational (PRO) investment globally, and we hope represents a new standard in PRO CR&D best practice. https://lnkd.in/gNqc6m9A
