Our Spatial Team recently used Civillo, an online GIS and data management platform, for our work supporting Department of Transport and Main Roads to deliver the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project, a $5.75 billion upgrade that double the tracks between Kuraby and Beenleigh from 2 to 4, as well as deliver station accessibility upgrades, remove level crossing, improve park 'n' ride facilities, and provide a new continuous active travel path along the 20km project corridor. Civillo’s powerful tools for viewing and managing spatial data were key for tasks like the Static GNSS survey and installing over 100 Ground Control Points (GCPs) for the ALS flight. Its browser-based access, geolocated photo uploads, secure layer-sharing, and hyperlink integration made workflows more efficient and collaboration easier, while keeping TMR informed with real-time updates. #BennettandBennett #SurveyingInnovation #LGC #GIS

In exciting news our Mickleham Road Upgrade – Stage 1 project is well on the way to an early completion! Our project team recently opened additional lanes and upgraded a key intersection at Somerton Road, delivering a massive boost for traffic flow and safety. All lanes are set to open in December, effectively marking the end of major works, way ahead of schedule – originally anticipated for mid-2025. Together with our construction partners Seymour Whyte and McConnell Dowell, we completed the Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road Upgrade 18 months ahead of schedule. As part of this project we: 👷♂️ Added a new lane in each direction between Southeast Boulevard and Manks Road 👷♂️ Upgraded intersections at Livestock Way, Greenhills Road and Hall Road 👷♂️ Built two new bridges over Deep Creek 👷♂️ Built a new 10km shared walking and cycling path This upgrade, delivered under the Program Delivery Approach, also achieved remarkable social, economic and environmental outcomes, including: ✅ 32,700+ Aboriginal employment hours ✅ 62,000+ trainee, cadet, apprentice employment hours ✅ 90,800+ priority jobseeker employment hours We're grateful for the collaborative effort, the dedication of our project team and construction partners, and the support of the community throughout this journey.
