With over 50 researchers across 12 specialist teams, the Coastal and Marine Research Centre (CMRC) is a world leader in coastal, estuarine and waterway research and management. We seek to increase the understanding of costal dynamics, erosion, water quality, nutrient flow, aquatic ecology, human interference and the impacts of climate change, as well as improve management strategies for urban catchments, floodplains and water resources. At our Centre, we put theory into practice for the greater good. Our wide-ranging research and teaching programs, community engagement initiatives and powerful partnerships aim to help communities build coastal resilience, protect the environment and plan for the future
