Improve project delivery with ConstructionID whilst reducing costs and improving safety We understand that managing a construction project involves countless tasks and moving parts. Rework (fixing mistakes or incorrectly delivered work) is the most common cause of time delays and cost blowout on a project is often caused by miscommunication or misunderstanding. This is often because information is transmitted over multiple emails, verbally in multiple/ disparate systems (not in the same place and scattered in many different areas / software / file formats). Having experienced this situation directly we have built ConstructionID to be the single place you go to for all project information. Project Planning: Effortlessly outline tasks, set timelines, and allocate resources for effective project management Resource Management: Optimize the use of information relating to quality, safety, materials, equipment, and personnel to reduce waste and maximize efficiency Reporting & Compliance: Generate comprehensive reports and ensure compliance with industry standards With ConstructionID, you can focus on what matters most: delivering quality projects that exceed client expectations. 🚀 Ready to transform your construction business? [ NEWS ] KOKODA’S RIVERSIDE SANDS TENERIFFE PROJECT APPROVED WITH FEWER STOREYS, MORE TOWERS 🏗️ Kokoda Property Group’s revised Riverside Sands development in Teneriffe has received the green light from Brisbane City Council. Originally planned as a three-tower project, the updated design now features five towers, with the tallest reduced from 30 storeys to 19. Located at 17-27 Skyring Terrace, the project includes a 163-room five-star Kimpton Hotel and 213 residential apartments, with each tower offering rooftop amenities. Designed by Cottee Parker Architects in collaboration with Carr, the development boasts 9,345m² of public realm space, including a new riverside riverwalk and a comprehensive layout that enhances accessibility. Urbis planners highlight a 1,495m² riverside public space with terraced lawns, interactive water sculptures, and a picnic area. Tweed Heads is in line for modern makeovers like its Queensland neighbour with two projects pumping up the development pipeline past $1 billion. Elanor Investors Group has won concept approval for its $907-million plans to completely redevelop the Tweed Mall shopping centre, opened in 1982, and surrounding land. The 5ha masterplan approval means the mall could soon have it all, just south of the NSW-Queensland border at 36 Bay Street and 16-32 Wharf Street, Tweed Heads. In our last post, we discussed the significance of data in building and the embrace of digital transformation. Inspired by "Moneyball," the movie that highlights how data analytics revolutionised baseball, we can draw parallels to the construction industry.   "Moneyball" demonstrated how Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics, used data analytics to build a competitive baseball team on a limited budget. By focusing on overlooked statistics like on-base percentage, Beane identified undervalued players and made strategic decisions that defied traditional scouting methods. This approach not only brought great success to the team but also sparked a data-driven revolution in baseball.   Similarly, the construction industry can benefit immensely from data analytics. By leveraging data, construction companies can uncover trends, optimize project management, improve resource allocation, and make informed decisions that enhance efficiency and profitability. Digital transformation is not just about implementing software – it is about using the data that the software captures to drive your business.   Other industries talk about data constantly and though the movie is over ten years old they constantly reference it (example below)– we should be having similar conversations in property and construction and not just adhering to the same processes and practices that have led us to the crisis point we are at today. #data driven change # Construction # Property # moneyball

"If the statistics are boring, you've got the wrong numbers." -Edward Tufte

Currently watching “Moneyball” yet again. I think that if you ask anyone, you will find that this movie is a must-watch for anyone who wants even to just dabble in analytics. The film provides very valuable insights into the world of data analysis and its impact on sports, making it a great watch for anyone interested in sports analytics. However, I have to think that the lessons learned from “Money-ball” go beyond sports and can be applied to almost any analytics field. So, if you're interested in analytics, you better make sure to add “Moneyball” to your watchlist! #Moneyball #analytics #datascience #sportsanalytics #bradpitt

Queensland-based 5POINT Projects has revealed plans for a nine-storey apartment building with rooftop terraces and several pools for a beachfront site on the southern Gold Coast. Plus Architecture designed the building with three levels of basement parking and 16 apartments with three to four bedrooms in each. We're extremely proud of what we have achieved thus far at Queen's Wharf and cannot wait for the public and future residents to explore the IRD. From the outset we always imagined it would become a place where the local community, and visitors alike, would come together within the shared spaces and feel a sense of belonging. These stunning shots by @brizzypix capture the blend of historical restoration and preservation of the heritage buildings, combined with the new and future-thinking design of Queen's Wharf itself.  Developer: Far East Consortium Australia Builder: Multiplex Architect: Cottee Parker Architects Project Marketing: YPMAVANTI Delivery: Destination Brisbane Consortium Joint Venture Partner: The Star Entertainment Group and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises (CTFE) . . . #QueensWharfPrecinct #BrisbaneCity #QueensWharfBrisbane

Managing Director of ConstructionID - Award winning construction management software for the Australian building and construction industry

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Digital transformation is 𝗡𝗢𝗧 just implementing an on-site capture tool (which just supports current practices - which are broken and why our industry is in its current situation). It is about aligning your strategy with one that is based on data your company has captured. The amount of data that is captured during a building's lifespan is massive - when you consider all of the correspondences, requests for information, tenders, instructions, variations, delay notifications, plans, details, specifications, reports, purchaser/tenant issues, asset maintenance reports – the list goes on and on. At the moment we do not make the most of this information. I personally love the movie/book Moneyball (the movie stars Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill) – it demonstrates the power of data and how it disrupted and shook up the tried and true “do it as we always have” practice and built a winning team around proven statistics and data. This team of non-traditional players goes on to beat other teams worth 10 times their value. This changed the way that all competitive sport is played. When you watch any game of AFL (sorry to those in northern states) they constantly talk about stats and data – it's clear that this now drives the game. Now draw that parallel with Building and Construction. We are an industry which is also using processes and hierarchy which have been ever-present (there may be some technology present now but the process and structure are the same as they always have been). Whilst this has worked in the past it will not work in today’s environment. I will not begin to list the ever-increasing pressures we face. We need to embrace technology and data – and how it can be used to improve things: design, delivery of projects, lifestyle, commercial and environmental sustainability. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning can analyse vast amounts of data to provide predictive insights and automate routine tasks. For example, AI can predict equipment failures, optimise energy usage, and suggest improvements to building design and operations. Embracing digital transformation doesn’t just mean introducing a system which enhances a model which is broken but it is changing your strategy to recognise the power of data and what it can do to change your company and ultimately help the industry. #moneyball #moneyballmovie #constructionid #constructionsoftwareau #constructionsoftware #software #digitaltransform
