One final democratic #CoPowerBudget announcement! Members have voted to allocate $10,000 to Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network's Grassroot Gathering. In October 2024, Seed is hosting a Grassroots Gathering in Naarm/Melbourne, which is a 3-day training camp to engage 20-30 new and existing volunteers nationally

Our members have also voted to allocate $10,000 to EEMC Earthworker Energy Manufacturing Cooperative to make and install energy efficient hot water for Aboriginal Housing Victoria. Everyone deserves to benefit from renewable energy and energy efficiency, not just those who can afford the newest technology!

Renters and Housing Union's Fight for the Future campaign to help train renters to campaign for safe and secure housing for all is our next impact campaign voted up by our CoPower membership this year!

We are excited to announce that CoPower customer members have voted to allocate $9,000 to CoPower’s Community Owned Renewable Energy Fund. This means we will invest in community owned solar, wind and battery projects to support renewable energy transition and build up a portfolio of assets that can provide return on investment to support the cooperative's mission into the future. #CoPowerBudget

The third benefit members voted up this year is 10 customer members getting a total discount of $1,045.00 off a union cooperative made Reclaim heat pump hot water system. Together, we're using the cooperative model to power the transition! See our blog for more details.
