Member for Eden-Monaro, The Hon Kristy McBain MP, visited Queanbeyan yesterday to meet staff and tour local health and mental health services. The Minister toured Queanbeyan Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, which opened in July 2024 and provides free, immediate, treatment and care for patients with non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients can walk in to access the service which is open 365 days a year from 8am to 8pm, including public holidays. Not sure if your care need is urgent? Call Healthdirect helpline on 1800 022 222. At headspace Queanbeyan, the Minister met with staff to discuss youth mental health services, including the centre’s success in expanding outreach to Braidwood and Bungendore, supported by increased funding.
