The Far North Queensland Industry Breakfast today presented a great opportunity to engage with industry leaders, business owners, and community representatives who are driving this region forward. Kerry Smeltzer, Assistant Coordinator-General said: “Far North Queensland is not only a gateway to international markets but will also play a crucial role in securing Queensland’s economic future. With a high demand globally for critical minerals, which are abundant in the region, we’re supporting projects like the Queensland Resources Common User Facility to enable our miners to get their products into the market faster. We also have a keen focus on prioritising projects that strengthen regional supply chains, improve transport links, and support industrial development through projects such as the Cairns South State Development Area, a key initiative driving economic diversification, job creation, and sustainable growth in the region. We look forward to continuing our partnership with industry leaders, government, and regional stakeholders to ensure Far North Queensland remains a key driver of Queensland’s bright and prosperous future.” Subscribe to keep up to date with our news: https://lnkd.in/ghXNmb5G Cairns Regional Council Powerlink Queensland Hansen Yuncken Tablelands Regional Council Department of Transport and Main Roads Department of Housing and Public Works
