A night of networking turned into a celebration of regional growth at our 'Meet the Buyer' event last week in Mount Isa. More than 150 attendees took part, including visitors from Sydney, Northern Territory, Western Australia and beyond. This event brought local industry and the community together to discuss regional economic growth and stronger supply chains. From small shops to large organisations, it's clear that the Northwest is a hub of opportunity. By funding essential infrastructure like roads, water, sewerage, and urban utilities, we're unlocking new land for housing and paving the way for more sustainable growth across the state. 🤝 The Residential Activation Fund is a $2 billion fund over four years allowing us to boost housing supply through enabling infrastructure. With applications opening in April, Round One will focus on ‘ready-now’ projects. These are projects that aren't just planned, but at a stage where construction can quickly commence once crucial trunk infrastructure is in place. At least half of this funding is earmarked for regional Queensland, expanding housing supply right across the state. 🏠 The guidelines are now available for councils and developers to start reviewing the criteria and preparing their applications.
