Australia's leading provider of executive career transition and career management services.
About us
At Directioneering we believe that every change is a chance to find new meaning in our careers and to continue them with renewed purpose. We don’t believe this to be a particularly comfortable process - quite the opposite. But we think it worthwhile - necessary, in fact, if we believe ourselves to be more than just any one title, one company or job. For more than twenty years, our methods and our world-class coaches have shaped the career paths of senior executives, who have in turn changed the face of corporate Australia. Directioneering is the largest privately owned, Australian provider of career management services. We help organisations and their employees to navigate change by providing customised career solutions that support people to take the next step in their professional life. We help organisations minimise risk by providing advice around planning for change, consulting to senior leaders and HR teams, delivering support to impacted individuals and preparing them for the future of work. Our clients benefit from the experience, reputational assurance and confidence that comes from a strong track record of delivering complex and large-scale projects.

One of the regular offerings available to the Directioneering Alumni is to complete the Australian Institute of Company Directors Company Directors Course with a small group of peers. This past week a group of 15 alumni completed the five days of intensive learning in our Melbourne office - not only an opportunity to learn, but also to network with like minded executives looking to increase their skills and knowledge. Last Friday afternoon, our group took the opportunity to relax over a drink and some nibbles. In 2025 we will be running this exceptional course multiple times in both our Melbourne and Sydney offices exclusively for alumni who are seeking more knowledge for effective board participation as the next phase of their careers.

Last Thursday evening we welcomed our Victorian Alumni community to our October Alumni Networking evening in our Melbourne office. On World Mental Health Day we were thrilled to welcome Genevieve Hawkins, author of Mentally at Work: Optimising Health and Business Performance Through Connection, as our guest speaker. Her knowledge and experience shone through, and her thoughtful responses to some very big questions is testament to the depth of awareness she has in this domain.

As part of the SEED Project, an initiative by the Brotherhood of St Laurence in Seymour, to empower local women and build economic security, the CEO of Directioneerings career solution Two Point Zero Australia Steve Shepherd and our research specialist and Head of Business Information Victoria Pollock co-facilitated SEED's EmpowerHER Forum. The forum brought together local employers, SEED Project participants, and organisations that provide support to the women, to explore current and future employment opportunities in the region, and there was plenty of open and insightful discussions on overcoming the barriers women face to securing sustainable and meaningful work. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the vibrant energy in the room! The conversations were impactful, new connections were made, and there's a strong commitment to keep moving forward. Special thanks to the SEED Project team for making the day such a success. We are looking forward to continuing this journey of empowering women in Seymour! #EconomicSecurity #EmpowerHER #WomenInWork #SEEDProject #CommunityStrength #CareerDevelopment

Neuroscience of Leadership, Change, Resilience and Inclusive leadership. Keynote speaker, trainer and executive coach
It was lovely to be in Melbourne and the following week running a virtual workshop on Coaching for Career Transition and Executive Coaching for Directioneering's coaches. Our coaching methodology is a combination of the traditional GROW model with the whole-brain goal setting, insight and action driven addition of the WISE. The GROW-WISE model improves coaching conversations and generates conversation about surface and actionable behaviours (GROW) as well as beneath the surface and not so obvious aspects of a persons situation including their thinking, emotions, motives, beliefs, barriers, fears and values (WISE). This provides a whole-brain and whole person approach to coaching. Thanks Kim Daglish for the opportunity to work with you and your team. If you want to run a similar program for your managers, please DM me. #neuroscience #development #performance #coaching #mindset #growwise #executivecoaching
