The expansion of our Dandenong South global distribution centre is well underway! This means we are a step closer to increasing our production capacity by 50 per cent and creating 90 new jobs to support our local economy. Thank you to all of the hard work from the Ego engineering team, Aspekt Construction Group and support from the Victorian Government. This expansion will further enable Ego to transform more lives through the science of healthy skin across many nations.

Yesterday, on 10 October, Ego proudly supported World Mental Health Day (WMHD) across all the regions in which we operate. As a global business, it’s essential that we continue to recognise the importance of mental health in every workplace, no matter the country or culture. This year’s WMHD highlighted the impact of workplace conditions on mental health, and we took the opportunity to reflect on our own practices. We’re proud of the initiatives we’ve implemented, including: 🌟 Establishing a Mental Health Committee to prioritise employee well-being across all regions. 🌟 Partnering globally with TELUS Health, offering self-paced well-being resources and free confidential counselling to all employees. 🌟 Training 16 Mental Health First Aid Officers in Australia to provide immediate support to those in need. We also encouraged everyone to “have a break, have a Kit Kat” whilst connecting with colleagues and having meaningful conversations. Ego’s Malaysian team is taking center stage at the Regional Conference of Dermatology hosted by the Persatuan Dermatologi Malaysia (PDM), from October 3rd to 5th at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. This prestigious event brings together over 800 healthcare professionals from across Asia, including dermatologists, trainees, general physicians, paediatricians, aesthetic physicians, medical officers, primary care doctors and other healthcare professionals associated with dermatology. The team are proudly showcasing two of Ego’s innovative product ranges at the event: QV Dermcare and QV Flare Up. Congratulations to Ego's Singapore team who have again won a Silver trophy at the annual Singapore Marketing Excellence Awards, this time in the Influencer & KOL Marketing category. We were up against some tough competition with big budgets, including Singapore Airlines, McDonalds, Nestle and many others. This award is a testament to the hard work of the team, who pushed boundaries and challenged protocols to solve a marketing challenge with healthcare professionals as KOLs in a strictly regulated industry in Singapore. Today is R U OK? Day, an important reminder to check in on those around us, but let's not forget that mental health matters every day of the year. Today at Ego we took a moment to share some smiles with R U OK? Day cupcakes at our Global Support Office and our manufacturing site, our WA team got together for their own morning tea, and our teams in the field enjoyed a coffee in the sun and some virtual check ins.  But beyond today, it's essential to keep the conversation going. Here are a few ways we can all contribute to ongoing mental health support: 💛 Start Conversations: Reach out to your friends, family, and colleagues regularly. A simple “How are you?” can open doors to meaningful connections. 💛 Be a Good Listener: When someone shares, listen with empathy and without judgment. Your presence can make a world of difference. 💛 Share Resources: Whether it’s the Employee Assistance Program, local counselling services, or mental health hotlines, having resources at hand can offer critical support. 💛 Promote Awareness: Share mental health resources, both online and within your communities, to keep the message of support and care alive. We are proud to be working with Good360 Australia to support vulnerable Australians, many of whom can't afford basic skincare. Since 2022, together we have delivered over $500,000 worth of brand-new goods to people in need, affirming a lasting commitment to giving back to the community. Our partnership has helped over 144 different charities and disadvantaged schools over 35 cause areas, delivering 90,833 products through floods, post-COVID and now the cost-of-living crisis.

Ego was delighted to welcome our manufacturing site in Braeside from the British Consulate-General Steph Lysaght, Consul General of the UK (VIC, SA & TAS), Ceri Morgan, Director of Investment & Financial Services and Janette Munday, Inward Investment Manager (VIC, SA & TAS). Our guests joined Alan Oppenheim, Managing Director, Barry O'Gorman (MAICD), Non-executive Director, mark lewis, Regional Business Manager EMEA and Jason Arnheim GAICD, General Counsel on a tour of the Braeside facility. This included viewing products being made specifically for the UK market, both retail and dispensing (NHS) packs.  After the tour, a presentation was made on the growth of Ego's UK business and how Ego is bringing the science of healthy skin to consumers all over the UK. Ego's growth in the UK has been driven by a dedicated professional team based in the UK and led by Derek Murphy, Country Manager. Ego looks forward to ongoing support from our stakeholders and partners in the UK as the business continues to deliver double digit growth year on year.
