Consent, Respectful Relationships and Sexuality Education. For young people, by young people.

About us

Since 2015, Elephant Ed has been transforming the way sex education is taught across Australia. Elephant Ed send young, relatable and highly trained facilitators to deliver fun and engaging sex education workshops to schools, universities and community groups. But they aren’t just ordinary workshops…they’re designed and delivered for young people, by young people. Our evidence-based, age-appropriate workshops are tried and tested across all relevant age groups and are mapped to State and National curriculum guidelines. Every year, we empower tens of thousands of young people to make informed, positive and safe decisions about sexuality, relationships and growing up. After all, sex education is more than just condoms on bananas.

I am so excited to share our upcoming event for Elephant Ed partner schools, ‘Navigating Digital Dangers: AI Deepfakes, Sextortion and Online Threats’, hosted in partnership with the eSafety Commissioner. No doubt the internet can be a complex, and at times, overwhelming space for young people, but we’re keen to continue to support our network of schools with best practice approaches to support young people in navigating the online world in a safe and respectful way. This event will see our Head of Programs, Cass De Nardis, and eSafety’s Ben Whiteley explore risks around AI deepfakes, sextortion, and offer practical strategies for prevention and response. If you’re a staff member at an Elephant Ed partner school (or a teacher interested in learning more), drop me a line to secure your spot!

🎥 Introducing Elephant Ed's 'In Conversation' Series Following our recent webinar on gender-based violence, we're excited to announce a three-part series where expert educators answer pressing questions submitted by schools across Australia. As discussions around gender-based violence continue to shape our educational landscape, we've partnered with leading voices in the field to provide actionable strategies for supporting both staff and students. The series will be shared with Elephant Ed partner schools over the coming weeks as we continue to invest in empowering our community to tackle these conversations with confidence. A very big thank you to Donna Davies, James Horrocks and Jessica Alger for their valuable insights across the three episodes.

    - "How do I talk to my child about this?" - "What are the laws?" - "Young men are being demonised. My son is not part of the problem. How can we talk to boys without blaming them?" We hear these questions (and more) every single day. This week, hundreds of Elephant Ed partner schools across VIC, NSW, SA, QLD and WA attended an exclusive webinar to hear best practices in navigating conversations around gender-based violence in Australia. But as we always say, while schools, teachers and educators play a vital role, it is not their entire responsibility. It has to be a team effort and it has to be supported by parents, carers and guardians. As a result, we've created this toolkit for all of our partner schools to help support their parent/carer communities in beginning or continuing their conversations at home..... because it's never too late to start. If we're going to face this national crisis, it's best to do it as a team 💪
