About us

We help children feel safe with their emotions so they can make healthy life choices. ELMA Education is a global leader in ‘culturally specific’ social and emotional learning tools for children. Their innovative ‘at-school and at-home’ programs are accessed digitally online for ease, and delivered personally offline for real-world engagement. ELMA’s ‘at-school’ program offers an evidence-informed, user-friendly educational platform for early childhood teachers to promote social and emotional literacy (SEL) and mindfulness skills for children aged four to nine years. Children who develop SEL skills early are better able to regulate their emotions, manage stress, build positive relationships and succeed in school and life. That’s great for themselves and for the world they’ll contribute to and lead. Using our tools, they will be able to build sustainable skills that encourage accountability, responsibility and confidence with their emotions. To promote healthy social skills with self and others.

  • We are pleased to share that last week, ELMA successfully introduced our early childhood emotional literacy program to the wonderful communities at Mulberry Tree and Indigo Montessori. 🌱 Our journey into nurturing emotional intelligence begins with the youngest of minds, helping them to understand and express their emotions in a healthy, positive way. The program is designed to lay a foundation of mindfulness and empathy that will support these young learners throughout their lives. 🧠💖 Thank you to the educators and staff at the centres for their warm welcome and commitment to emotional growth in early education. We are excited to see how these tools will enhance the learning environment and help shape a more mindful & emotionally intelligent generation. 📚🌼 #MindfulKids #EarlyChildhoodEducation #EmotionalIntelligence #mindfulnessinchildren Martin Graham Mulberry Tree Childcare

We are a little bit excited to announce that ELMA Education’s School Programs are now officially included in the Education Department of WA Third Party Vendor Catalogue as approved purchasable products across the public system. This is a significant milestone for us, and we are excited to extend our reach to more schools and students across Western Australia. Emotional intelligence (EI) is crucial for children's development. It encompasses the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions, as well as the capacity to recognize and influence the emotions of others. Research has shown that children with high emotional intelligence tend to have better social skills, are more empathetic, and perform better academically. They are also better equipped to handle stress and build stronger relationships. Our ELMA School Program is evidence informed and designed to integrate these essential EI skills into the school curriculum under the personal and social learning continuum, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for students. With a complete teachers lesson plan and explicit teaching model as well as fully mapped to the curriculum. Through our program, students engage in activities that help them develop self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These skills are fundamental in preparing students not only for academic success but also for life beyond the classroom. But our commitment doesn't stop with the students. We recognise that teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the emotional and social landscape of the classroom. That’s why our program also includes comprehensive EI training for teachers. This training equips educators with the tools they need to support their students' emotional development effectively. Teachers learn to create emotionally safe classroom environments, recognise and respond to students' emotional needs, and model emotional intelligence in their interactions. We are also pleased to share that the Department of Education is notifying all CEWA and AISWA schools about our inclusion in the catalogue. This ensures that even more schools have the opportunity to benefit from our programs. At ELMA Education, we believe that fostering emotional intelligence in children is essential for building resilient, empathetic, and well-rounded individuals. We are committed to supporting both students, parents and teachers on this journey and are excited to see the positive impact of our programs in schools across Western Australia and soon to be nationally. • 🌿 In the go go go of daily life, mindfulness is a game-changer. 🌟 By embracing presence, focusing on our breath, and reflecting daily, we can transform ordinary moments into extraordinary ones. Mindfulness isn’t just for quiet rooms—it’s for every meeting, task, and conversation. It enhances focus, reduces stress, boosts creativity, and improves decision-making. Start small: a mindful minute at the start of your day or conscious breathing before a big meeting. Lead with mindfulness and create a culture of authenticity and calm. ✨ #Mindfulness #Leadership #Wellness #Focus #StressRelief

Balancing AI in Education with Emotional Intelligence As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to revolutionise education, there's a pressing need to balance technological advancements with the development of emotional intelligence (EI). AI's role in education is expanding, offering personalized learning experiences and improving efficiency. However, this shift brings concerns about the potential neglect of essential human skills like empathy, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. AI can process data and personalize educational content, but it often lacks the emotional nuance needed to address students' mental health and well-being comprehensively. This is where emotional intelligence training becomes indispensable. Programs like those offered by ELMA Education - Emotional Literacy and Mindfulness are crucial in fostering an emotionally supportive learning environment. These programs help students develop resilience, empathy, and effective communication skills, which are necessary for holistic development. Moreover, as we prepare students for a future where they will interact with AI in various facets of life, the importance of EI cannot be overstated. Emotional intelligence equips students with the adaptability, leadership, and interpersonal skills required to navigate the complex social and professional landscapes of tomorrow. Incorporating EI training into the curriculum ensures that while students benefit from technological advancements, they also grow into well-rounded individuals capable of understanding and managing their emotions. This balance is essential for creating a generation that is both emotionally intelligent and tech-savvy. Learn more about how integrating emotional intelligence training can complement AI in education and prepare students for a balanced future. Explore our programs today and join us in fostering a generation of emotionally intelligent and resilient individuals. www.elmaeducation.com
