As Ember Advisors continues to grow, we’re expanding our sponsorship portfolio to include five outstanding university clubs and societies this year. We’re excited to get on campus with our new partners to raise awareness about careers in data consulting for the public good, and to connect with the next generation of game-changing actuaries, data scientists, economists, and public policy thinkers! 🚀 Earlier this month, our newest team members completed an immersive, multi-day induction program designed to equip them with essential consulting skills—problem-solving, analysis, synthesis, communication, project management, and more! 🫕 But onboarding at Ember is about more than just skills. This month, we’re thrilled to welcome five outstanding Associate Consultants to our team! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Andrew, Conor, Jiah, Oli and Vivek — each bringing deep analytics experience and sharing our passion for using #DataForGood. 👋 Meet our new team members: 🔹 Andrew Zhang brings experience in software engineering and data science from prior roles at Coles Group, Mirvac and NAB. He holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Melbourne. 🔹 Conor Game has a background in healthcare analytics and private equity, and has worked at St John of God Healthcare and GPRS Capital. Conor holds a Master of Business Analytics from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. 🔹 Jiah Lee combines her biomedical technology background with research, clinical, and project management experience across public, education, and not-for-profit sectors. Most recently, Jiah was a Program Coordinator at PMLogic. Jiah holds a combined degree in Engineering Honours (Biomedical Engineering) and Project Management. 🔹 Oliver Brown specializes in analytics, machine learning and large language models, with recent experience at the Commonwealth Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences and Neuroscience from the University of Sydney and is driven by innovation in AI and data science. 🔹 Vivek Banka brings expertise in financial advisory and grants assessment across professional services and government sectors. He’s previously worked at KPMG and Synergy Group. Vivek has a double degree in Actuarial Studies and Applied Data Analytics from the Australian National University. We’re so excited to have them on board and look forward to seeing their contributions to the Ember Advisors team. 2024 has been a tremendous year for Ember. We've supported over 15 government departments and social sector organisations to harness their data to address some of Australia's most pressing public policy challenges. And our team has grown to 40 people. We'd like to thank our community and team for their collaboration. We can't wait to do it all again in 2025!
