Celebrating Women in Drinks at Dan Murphy's! Last month we hosted in-person networking events across Australia, thanks to our amazing Dan’s Women in Drinks State Leads. These events brought together passionate women in the drinks industry to connect, share, and grow. 🌟 Queensland kicked off its very first event, with Tirzah from Brown-Forman and Carmen leading the way. 🌟 ACT featured Christine from Pankhurst Wines and Carla from Sapling Yard. 🌟 Western Australia was represented by Dhivashini T. from Republic of Fremantle Distilling. 🌟 Victoria welcomed Caroline Mooney from Zonzo Estate Yarra Valley and Derv McGowan from Anther Geelong Distillery. 🌟 New South Wales is next up, hosting Kelly Gonnet, Director of Guillaume Gonnet from France! These nights were filled with inspiring stories, celebrating the strength, creativity, and leadership women bring to the drinks industry. Esteemed winemakers are currently being celebrated across the country, as the LANGTONS Classification of Australian Wine tasting events are officially underway! Last held in 2018, these events mark a special moment in Australian wine history, bringing together the country’s most iconic wines and their talented producers. The 8th edition of the LANGTONS Classification showcases the passion, dedication, and craftsmanship of Australia's most sought-after wines today. 19 new wines have joined the ranks, including The Relic Shiraz Viognier and The Schubert Theorem Shiraz (The Standish Wine Company), Hoffmann Dallwitz and Little Wine Shiraz (Sami-Odi), Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (Tolpuddle Vineyard), and Quartz Chardonnay (Bindi Wines) underlining a clear new direction to more elegant styles of Shiraz and southeast regions featuring Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Our Dan Murphy's store teams’ passion and dedication have been instrumental in raising and donating over $342,130 in our current appeal in support of Mental Health & Wellbeing. Chris Staines, CEO of GIVIT, shares: “GIVIT is extremely grateful to Dan Murphy’s and their customers for their amazing support of our work assisting people impacted by mental ill-health. The rising cost of living has exacerbated challenges for so many Australians, with almost 100,000 essential items currently requested on the GIVIT website for people experiencing mental ill-health across Australia. These include basic items such as grocery vouchers for people experiencing financial hardship as a result of their illness, as well as larger household goods for those recovering from an emergency event or disaster. These funds will allow us to continue to support people with the material items they need to move forward with their lives. We are excited to announce that Dan Murphy's has just launched its 100th solar powered store in Coolum, Queensland ☀️ The 100 Dan’s stores with solar have generated 7,300 MWh of renewable energy, enough to power 1,330 homes for the year! These stores have also reduced 16,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, the equivalent of 763,000 trees🌳 Another 25 Dan Murphy’s stores will receive solar panels in the next year. People. Planet. Purpose.

📢 And the winners are... Congratulations to all those recognised at our Supplier of the Year Awards last night. It was an incredible celebration of everything that makes our industry great. And we certainly weren't going to let a little rain dampen our spirits. The skies cleared just in time for a special performance from Aussie rock legend Jon Stevens. Now in their third year, our Supplier of the Year Awards acknowledge excellence in the drinks industry at a time when working together to deliver what customers want to drink is more important than ever. Our Director of Buying and Merchandise Tim Carroll paid tribute to the efforts of our trade suppliers. "Our ability to grow relies on strong relationships.
