The team at Evidentia Group is delighted to announce the launch of the Evidentia Global Private Markets fund in partnership with US based institutional private markets investment consultant Wilshire The fund seeks to offer a single access point global multi-asset, multi-manager solution targeting investment opportunities that exploit inefficiencies in private markets. --- The Fund, to be exclusively offered to Evidentia clients, is open-ended and offers clients monthly liquidity, providing access to both fund investments and direct private market deal co-investment opportunities from around the world. The Fund is also dynamically hedged. Wilshire has over 50 years of experience advising and managing money on behalf of many of the world’s most sophisticated and complex institutional investors with over $1.4 trillion in assets under advisement, including nearly $121 billion in assets under management (at 31/12/2023). Today Wilshire is the trusted investment consultant and partner to more than 500 leading institutional and financial intermediaries globally and will exclusively partner with Evidentia in the Australian private wealth market. Wilshire has been providing services in private markets since 1984 and has investment professionals in North America, Europe and Asia allowing a combined global perspective with local market presence. The historical underlying manager relationships that Wilshire have built over the past decades, together with the well-known Wilshire brand, provides for access to oversubscribed funds with limited access as well as privileged access to co-investment and secondary private market deals. Evidentia and Wilshire’s investment philosophy is based on the belief that significant excess returns from private markets may be derived from active specialist managers investing in inefficient markets. Our portfolios will typically focus on smaller fund sizes, and specialist teams with operational experience and strong track records in driving significant growth from their investee companies. The team at Evidentia Group is delighted to announce a significant moment in the evolution of our business. Scarcity Partners has made a strategic minority investment in our firm, marking a pivotal juncture in our journey. The catalyst event for the partnership was the retirement of one of our operationally focussed founders. This led us to explore succession and growth avenues. Scarcity Partners brings long-term, non-invasive, supportive private capital. Critically though, they bring unmatched sector expertise and intellectual property across client solutions, operations, growth avenues, governance, and product innovation. The Scarcity Partners business was founded, and is operated, by some of the most experienced professionals in the Australian market. The team has deep domain expertise, given their backgrounds as Founders, Chairs, Board Directors, and C-level professionals across firms such as Pinnacle Investment Management (and their affiliates), Hyperion Asset Management, Magellan Asset Management, and Paradice Investment Management. While their extensive expertise is available for support and guidance, this will not lead to any change in the day-to-day operation of our business. Scarcity Partners will have no executive involvement and will occupy a single board seat (of five), ensuring our team maintains control of our business, both operationally and strategically. In essence, the Scarcity team has invested in our business because they love our proposition to our valued partner firms. From the inception of our business, we have been very focussed on the profile of the firms we wanted to partner with. Our clients are a select group of the leading Private Wealth firms in the Australian advice market and we now manage over $8 billion on their behalf. They are leaders in the field, highly professional, growth focused, and run client centric business models. We feel privileged to be working with them and these partnerships are the aspect of our business we are most proud of. The whole Evidentia team has committed long-term to build a multi-generational business, providing great solutions for our clients, and we couldn’t be more excited to have the Scarcity team with us on the journey as supportive partners. We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring and are committed to delivering even better solutions for our valued partner firms. Our business philosophy from day one has been built around the mantra of institutional quality, boutique delivery. As we look to the future – this approach will continue to guide us. --
