"Being a founder is about connection, authenticity, and knowing yourself deeply." - Tracey Warren, CEO, F5 Collective At F5 Collective, we believe in more than just investing; we invest in visionaries driven by purpose. During her beautifully articulated speech at Harvard University, Tracey profoundly unfolds founder archetypes. She categorises founders into three distinct types: 1️⃣ The Opportunist: These founders are driven by financial success, adept at identifying and seizing opportunities. 2️⃣ The Opportunist with a Social Impact: Adding a greater purpose to their ventures, often for marketing appeal, although this purpose may not directly align with their core business. 3️⃣ The Mission-Driven Founder: These visionary leaders are compelled by a deep-seated belief in solving a specific problem. Their mission isn't just a component of their business; it's intrinsic to its DNA, guiding every decision and elevating their product's impact. For mission-driven founders like those we champion at F5 Collective, clarity of purpose isn't just advantageous—it's indispensable. It aligns teams, attracts top talent, and nurtures a steadfast customer base. This clarity propels us towards our goal of funding 1,000 women founders by 2030, bridging the gender funding gap, and fostering equity in the startup ecosystem. Join us in celebrating purpose-driven entrepreneurship across APAC and beyond. Together, let's forge a future where every entrepreneur thrives by staying true to their mission. https://lnkd.in/gzEG7eJb #F5Collective #WomenInTech #MissionDriven #Entrepreneurship #Purpose #APAC #StartupEcosystem #VentureCapital #Leadership

We’re still on cloud nine after the California Senate recognised F5 Collective for our pivotal role in authoring Bill SB 54! This recognition is not just a win for us, but a monumental step for female founders everywhere. Why is SB 54 so monumental? Empowering Female Founders: SB 54 mandates venture capital firms to report diversity metrics, paving the way for more equitable funding. This means more opportunities for female founders and underrepresented innovators to access the capital they deserve. Transparency and Accountability: With this legislation, we’re fostering an environment where transparency is key. It holds venture capitalists accountable and ensures that diversity is a priority, not just a talking point. A Vision for the Future: At F5, this is just the beginning. We’re driven by a vision of generational change, aiming to fund 1000 female founders by 2030. Our mission is to not just support but celebrate our founders, sharing their stories to inspire and empower more women. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our incredible team, including Tracey Warren, Kelly Kimball, Divya Reddy, Marquesa Finch, Allison Byers, Derek Ali, and the support of Senators Nancy Skinner and Toni Atkins. But we’re not stopping here. Our journey continues with more groundbreaking initiatives on the horizon. If you’re an ally, investor, or someone passionate about driving change, join us in this mission. Let’s create an inclusive, equitable startup ecosystem together. https://lnkd.in/gzEG7eJb #SB54 #FemaleEmpowerment #FemaleFounders #F5Collective
