First Sentier Investors

Thank you to our corporate partners at First Sentier Investors for joining a recent networking panel with Scholarship America Dream Award and Barry Griswell Scholars! These accomplished students were able to hear firsthand from financial professionals Lawrence Paltrowitz, Nicholas Sorenson and Sarah Bibring about how they experienced college, started their first-time jobs, and learned how to grow their careers in finance. Scholarship America is proud to work with our partners and give students support beyond the scholarship.

At the end of last year, the First Sentier Foundation held its inaugural Global Community Month, where we dedicated a month to philanthropy and giving back to our local communities. We facilitated:   ·       Over 20 different corporate volunteering opportunities, information sessions and events;  ·       Over 15% of our staff volunteered or participated in a fundraising activity during the month;  ·       And, thanks to the generosity of our people, they have donated to over 60 charities globally, that the Foundation is match donating.     As we start the new year, we look forward to continuing to care for our communities. Recently we welcomed our latest charity partner, basis.point, to our Dublin offices to share their work with us. basis.point’s vision is “an Ireland where children have the opportunity to reach their potential through education”. As a Premier Patron, the First Sentier Foundation is proud to contribute to a fund that delivers educational programs that tackle complex issues in a child’s educational lifecycle such as literacy, STEM and financial literacy. On International Volunteer Day, we want to take a moment to celebrate the power of volunteerism. This Giving Tuesday, we’re joining the global movement to encourage people to do good and give to their communities.          The First Sentier Foundation runs an employee matching scheme that matches donations our people make to charitable causes. Thanks to the generosity of our people, through this scheme, we have donated to over 55 charities so far this year, supporting a wide range of beneficiary needs globally.
