Updates

  • It looks like we're building Lego. Really, we're building future Frost*.    We’re constantly looking at how we can improve – redesigning our business. We’ve grown in the past two years – a BIG part of this is our B Corp Certification, which is a huge source of pride. Off the back of this, we decided to update our brand and values. Simplifying them to their core. We’ve got a dynamic new website, too.    To celebrate, we spent a day together talking about how our future looks, what we’re working towards as a collective and how we’re going to do it. We’ve always been about solving problems with big ideas designed for real impact. Today, we’re even more focused on it than ever.    Vince Frost* Frost*collective Founder, CEO and ECD says, “I truly believe we can use creativity to solve some of the big problems our world faces today. We love working with like-minded businesses on projects that will benefit the environmental and people. Creativity has got us into this mess. And creativity will get us out. Updating our brand, values and purpose for 2023 has been about fine tuning what we’ve always done.”    Click the link below to head to our dynamic new website to learn more about how we’re designing a better world. https://lnkd.in/gXrHV4eJ   Thanks to CTRL Media for the video of the day.

  • It’s extremely exciting to be on the ground with 3XN/GXN and Sir Robert McAlpine at British Land's incredible 2 Finsbury Avenue project. We’ve been poring over plans for over a year as we develop our wayfinding and signage system for the site, but nothing compares to seeing a project of this scale come up out of the ground with our own eyes. This massive feat of engineering is set to change the face of the Broadgate. We can’t wait to share more of this major city-shaping development as it comes to life.

  • At a dramatic new venue in Sydney’s CBD, 100 years of industrial history has been reimagined. In a collaboration between the City of Sydney and Built, Machine Hall has been redeveloped as a dynamic performance and events venue.    Read the case study to see how our bespoke wayfinding solution, designed for the main hall and amenities areas of the Machine Hall space, supports movement while being sympathetic to the incredible heritage of the site: https://lnkd.in/gSqNsjVa

  • “It’s not a badge of honour to leave a project, but sometimes it’s a necessity.” For George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, intent is everything. And you can achieve global success and excellence in your field “while still being fun and nice”.    The partners in business and life founded their international creative design studio, Yabu Pushelberg, in 1980 with curiosity, passion and energy, and have been creating immersive environments and design considered products ever since. Both come from hard working families in Ontario, Canada, whose parents were gifted craftsmen, instilling in them the value of handmade art and objects.  When they began, their focus was on interior design. Today, they’re a multidisciplinary practice with over 100 employees across their New York and Toronto studios addressing multiple layers of the human experience. From interiors for skyscrapers to lighting for homes, considered furnishings, and bespoke products for clients including LVMH, Four Seasons Hotels, Molteni&C and Glas Italia, Yabu Pushelberg’s style is a symphony of ideas, never a reflection of trends.    Listen in wherever you get your podcasts as Vince, George and Glenn discuss and the liabilities that come with ego, the importance of staying curious, and the secret to staying relentlessly determined for decades. The Aids Council of New South Wales (ACON) was established in 1985 as a response to the Aids crisis. 40 years on, they deliver campaigns and programs to educate, inform and empower the community.     ACON's latest campaign, ‘This is Ending HIV Transmission’ looks to acknowledge the 40 years and how far we’ve come, to keep the community informed about the current state of testing, prevention, treatment and HIV stigma, and to reenergise the effort.      To elevate this milestone, we collaborated with Sydney artist Kris Andrew Small, bringing a nostalgic, diverse and vibrant feel to what is a joyfully explosive typographic campaign.      Matthew Vaughan, Director (HIV & Sexual Health) at ACON, says, “We've had an incredible relationship with Frost* over the years, for almost 15 years we've been collaborating to create impactful campaigns for people in our communities.”     It’s been an absolute pleasure and we’re extremely grateful for every opportunity to collaborate with ACON.      Happy Mardi Gras, Sydney!

  • “At some point, something hit me. I literally had to halt everything.”    Does having a social agenda matter when you’re a landscape architect? At first, you may not think so. But when you truly understand the impact a compassionate designer can make on the spaces we inhabit, the answer is clear.    Sacha Coles is a Global Design Director at ASPECT Studios and founder of the design practice’s Sydney studio. As a global design influencer, Sacha leads projects of transformational change spanning placemaking, infrastructure, play space, academic, civic institutions, and green infrastructure.    Sacha is interested in uplifting quality of life, encouraging social equity and elevating the human spirit through design. He's been recognised as one of the top 30 Landscape Architects working globally and holds several advisory and board positions in the field.    Listen in wherever you get your podcasts as Vince and Sacha discuss how growing up with parents obsessed with wellness and the outdoors has shaped him, redesigning some of Sydney’s most iconic public places, and bringing cityscapes closer to nature. Listen here: https://lnkd.in/gaYHUFxn   *We’d like to acknowledge that we’re publishing about this episode late to give respectful space and acknowledge the passing of our dear friend Dion Horstmans.

  • Do you love Erskineville? We want your stories! We’ve commissioned local Erskineville artists Sharon Billinge and Ann Woo to create a mural on the huge 750m hoarding that’s popped up along Mitchell Road, Coulson Street and Hadfields Street in the inner-Sydney neighbourhood. A love letter to Erko, if you will.     You can contribute by sharing what you love about Erskineville. Create a drawing of your favourite person, place or memory. Then, in 40 words or less, tell us about it. Sharon, Ann & the Coronation Property team will be handpicking artworks to feature on the mural, online and on socials.     The Erskineville Project encourages the local community to authentically engage in and celebrate their own place as part of the first stage of our branding and placemaking strategy for Coronation Property at the former Ashmore Estate in Erskineville.     Gets yours in by 28 February, and stay tuned for more: https://lnkd.in/gf5Uemnx

We’ve developed a holistic Environmental Branding scheme for Sage’s six buildings in Manhattan, New York City. The work includes a Wayfinding and Signage system designed to reflect their new brand and unify the six properties, elevating their status as inspiring workplaces. The premium properties span the area between 437 Madison Avenue — a stone’s throw from the Rockefeller Centre — via a three-block stretch of Third Avenue in the Grand Central Business District down to the Financial District, with a stop in the Meatpacking District along the way.    "Our partnership with Frost*collective has been instrumental in elevating Sage’s branded experience, and our vision of enriching the lives of people at work. By weaving hospitality-driven design and thoughtful wayfinding into every detail, we’ve been able to transform our properties into branded experiences that support human flourishing and set a new benchmark for workplace standards” – Jonathan Iger, CEO & President, Sage    Click through to read the case study and discover how we’re unifying this NYC portfolio: https://lnkd.in/gev-_g8f
