    Fujitsu was honoured to host a visit from the Governor of Victoria Her Excellency the Honourable Professor Margaret Gardner, AC, at our global headquarter in Tokyo. The Governor met with Fujitsu’s Global Chief Technology Officer Vivek Mahajan, and Fujitsu Oceania’s Chief Technology Officer Mahesh Krishnan, who is also a proud Victorian based in Melbourne. Also accompanying the Governor’s visit were Victorian Government’s Trade Commissioner for Japan Adam Cunneen, Executive Director, Economic Development and international, Department of Premier and Cabinet Rob Holland, and Fellow Sato from Fujitsu Laboratories. The Governor received a first-hand overview of Fujitsu’s technology, which includes some of the most advanced quantum computing innovation in the world. Quantum computing will provide a transformational opportunity to speed up medical research, cyber security and many more critical innovations, which Fujitsu is leading in Victoria, Australia and globally. Fujitsu has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Victorian Government on technology, prioritising a number of opportunities for Victoria, which we were pleased to share with Her Excellency. The Governor also received a briefing on the latest advancements in AI technology, which is helping to fast track the way we tackle climate change, mental health, food security, public safety and the cyber defence of the Asia Pacific region. One of Fujitsu’s latest innovations discussed was the Ocean Digital Twin, which leverages AI and underwater drone data to support marine conservation and ocean biodiversity. Fujitsu is deeply committed to driving a more sustainable, secure and prosperous Asia Pacific region, and it was an honour to share these advancements with Her Excellency.
