The last month has flown by as we have been so busy at GOGO events! Still, we wanted to call out our excellent partners Lifeline Adelaide and Uniting Communities and the thrill it was to support them with the design and management of the first Lifeline Fundraising Gala Ball, post-COVID. It was wonderful to share the beautiful function space on the first floor of UCITY and enhance its stunning architecture design with superb floral design and decor. GOGO events were engaged at the outset and worked closely with Lifeline to help their vision come to life. This included concepts design, procuring mission-aligned suppliers, and assessing logistics.  On the day, our GOGO team, all graduates of the GOGO Foundation's Inclusive Work program, installed the event, including stunning floral arrangements on the tables, stage and photo backdrop, and transforming the Lifeline car into a colorful mass of blooms. Our team also welcomed guests, guided them to their seats, and made sure every detail contributed to a successful, memorable evening. A heartfelt thank you to Lifeline Adelaide for entrusting GOGO Events with this impactful occasion. It was such a pleasure to work with Philanthropy Australia to deliver the highly successful Philanthropy Australia Conference 2024. GOGO Events was delighted to provide onsite support for all stakeholders to ensure the conference and the social events were mindfully managed, that everyone involved felt safe and included, and that everyone had a great time. "There are so many misconceptions, but I think the most profound is that people facing homelessness are uneducated. That is absolutely not our experience, 63% of the women we worked with in the first few years at GOGO Events had tertiary qualifications. There are other assumptions people make, that homeless people are not resilient, they're weak or just not capable. These points are also untrue. At GOGO Events nothing goes to waste. We are proud to be aligned with the UN Sustainable development goals and this Earth Day we want to share with you how we meet our climate actions goals. We are able to do this by working with our clients on strategies and facilitating choices that allow for more inclusive and impactful events which have a minimal impact our earth’s finite resources.   We are also a Carbon Neutral business and aim to reduce the energy we use, maximise the use of renewables and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.   We work on reducing food waste, maximising recovery of waste resources and diverting as much as we can to landfill. We work with event planners on ideas that minimise waste from the start and spend time sorting out every piece of waste at the end.   With every client and every event we are committed to exploring the most environmentally and socially sustainable or regenerative option. This often takes us on interesting and varied journeys but that’s half the fun!   When our customers come on board and choose our green venues, we are able to be kinder to our planet, together!   Happy Earth Day everyone.
