  • And that's a wrap for BMI Leadership Principles 2024! It’s been an incredible week filled with valuable insights and connections. On Day 4, we focused on governance with Brendan Walsh, followed by a fantastic team dinner that fostered collaboration and a lot of laughs. Day 5 kicked off with the amazing Jason Koenigsfeld from CMAA, who explored the dynamics of power and politics, leaving us with plenty of take-home messages. We concluded the week with presentations from our case study groups, reflecting on our learnings and the lessons we've gathered throughout this journey. A huge thank you to our host clubs, Woodlands Golf Club and Yarra Yarra Golf Club, for their warm hospitality. It’s been a great week of education!

  • Days 2 & 3 of the BMI Leadership Principles course is well underway! On Day 2, we dove into our case studies, collaborating in groups to workshop ideas and solutions. A big thank you to Gabriel Esseesse for his insights on AI, technology and marketing in clubs! Day 3 took us to Yarra Yarra Golf Club, where Richard Comerford shared invaluable financial tips and tricks. We then explored our leadership profiles through the Lumina Leader Assessment with Markus Eschmann, gaining a deeper understanding of our unique leadership styles. We wrapped up the day with a fun round of 9 holes at Woodlands Golf Club! ⛳️ We’re officially halfway through this incredible week and excited for what’s to come!

  • Exciting kickoff to Day 1 of Leadership Principles for 2024 at Woodlands Golf Club! We delved deep into the “nature of leadership” with Geoff Dickson and finished with “executive presence”. To wrap up the day, Courtney Flores (Menegon) took the team to ten pin bowling for some friendly competition and arcade games. Let's just say our golf skills are much sharper than our bowling! Looking forward to applying these insights as we continue our leadership journey!
