Staffing and Recruiting

Connecting skills with needs in the golf industry.

About us

EnvoyGolf was established in Oct 2019 to connect skills with needs for golf clubs across borders. This involved bringing greenkeepers from Scandinavia to work on golf courses in Australia. With border closures due to Covid, we sourced course staff from the domestic market. More recently, we launched our executive recruitment capability. This capability assists clubs with the appointment of their key executive positions, from CEO/General Manager down through all department heads. With over 30 years of experience in executive recruitment at our disposal, we have successfully appointed these roles for leading golf clubs in Australia and New Zealand.

In the first of our EnvoyGolf Insight Series, an excerpt from an interview by Mark Matehaere, of Nicolle Rantanen Reynolds, President of The Grange Golf Club, Nicolle, spoke about the staging of the LIV tournament this year and how it was received by the club, their membership, patrons, and the golfers. In this, our second EnvoyGolf Insight Series, in another excerpt from that interview, Nicolle speaks about how The Grange were able to secure the LIV tournament. Also, what that involved, their dealings with Greg Norman Golf and how and when they engaged with their membership, within the constraints of commercial confidentiality! It was a delicate balancing act…!

EnvoyGolf Insight Series: Nicolle Rantanen Reynolds, President of The Grange Golf Club. Mark Matehaere, EnvoyGolf “Hi Nicolle, congratulations to you and the Grange Golf Club on another very successful LIV tournament, recently staged. I wonder if you could talk us through the tournament from your perspective, that of the club, the members and also the players”. Nicolle Rantanen Reynolds, President, The Grange Golf Club, Adelaide. “Look, from our perspective we couldn’t have hoped for better. It was an outstanding, tournament. We had 94,000 people attend and a lot of young people that now believe golf is cool. You know it’s all about encouraging people to enjoy our great game and the LIV tournament certainly did that. We had 700 volunteers, we had 32% of the tickets purchased were women. 40% of those were purchased from interstate or overseas. So great for the South Australian economy, and realistically fantastic for golf, in this country, you know, as I said earlier, golf is now cool. People want to go. Those that went this year are, you know, everyone that I’ve spoken to they’ve already gone.. ‘When can I buy tickets for next year’? ‘And it’s not only me coming but I’m bringing more friends.’ So, you know, we had, an increased area for our member this year, which meant that, they were happier. They enjoyed the experience. They got to go to the Pro Am and see the players up close without a lot of the crowds. And the players are really cool. They’ll do selfies with people, you know, and you know, they love coming, the players. The best in the world love coming to Australia and we’re so privileged to have them here.”
