The app features real-time matching of educators to childcare centres, ensuring quick responses to immediate staffing needs compared to traditional methods. In just over two years, Z Staffing has facilitated over 140,000 shifts, connecting more than 2,000 childcare centres with 10,000 educators. This innovative approach empowers educators to find work that fits their personal requirements. The Jury commends this project for not only meeting but exceeding expectations. Led by EY Future Friendly, "Connecting Australia’s Next-Generation Audiences with our National Broadcaster" has been awarded Best in Class for Design Strategy at the 2024 Australian Good Design Awards! This project, which helps the ABC engage with emerging digital-first audiences, redefines how content is presented. Over 10 weeks, a strategy was developed to shift from traditional broadcasting to digitally native experiences that are connected, personalised, and multi-media. By prioritising audience feedback, the ABC is now better equipped to provide a trusted media platform that keeps Australians informed and engaged. Glenthorne National Park – Ityamaiitpinna Yarta Nature Playground has been awarded Best in Class, Architectural Design - Place Design at the 2024 Australian Good Design Awards. As one of South Australia's largest nature play spaces, it welcomes everyone - children and adults of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities - to explore, imagine, and play in a beautiful natural setting. With its wheelchair-accessible design, it attracted over 10,000 visitors in just the first week, boosting local eco-tourism and community engagement. A huge congratulations to the talented team for this incredible achievement: Taylor Cullity Lethlean, PPA (Architecture) and Karl Winda Telfer & Tikana Telfer. Comvita's Paengaroa Workplace, designed by Blur the Lines, has won Best in Class, Architectural Design - Interior Design at the 2024 Australian Good Design Awards. This stunning transformation of a historic building into a nature-connected workspace beautifully blends hospitality design with flexible co-working areas, all while honouring Comvita’s rich heritage. With a carefully curated palette of cool greens and warm golden tones, the design fosters connection and collaboration, creating an inviting atmosphere for all. A Whakatūwheratanga (opening and dawn blessing) was held to celebrate the opening of the spaces named Te Maru (The Shelter) and Tānga Manawa (the Place My Heart Rests), led by Tapuika, the local Māori iwi. This ceremony signified a new beginning for the spaces. Since opening, staff feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many team members embracing the beautifully designed spaces.
