Today marks a momentous occasion as we announce a historic partnership with the Illawarra Hawks for this season and beyond! 🦅 As two iconic fixtures of the region, our logo will feature on the back of player singlets as they take to the court and show the whole community “we’ve got your back”. 🏀 A launch event is being held tomorrow Saturday 24 August at Stockland Shellharbour from 10am giving fans a chance to meet their heroes and take away a picture-perfect memento before the season officially begins next month. 🤾♂️ Together we’ll build on our strong foundations to make the Illawarra even Greater and continue serving the community we’re proud to be part of. 🙌

Earlier this month, we ditched the work pants and dressed down in denim for Jeans for Genes AU. This annual event raises much-needed funds for the Children's Medical Research Institute helping them continue gene therapy research and find cures for the 600 previously incurable genetic diseases that 1 in every 20 kids face. 🧑🔬🧬 Together, we raised over $8,000 and we couldn't be prouder of our people for banding together in blue in the name of a good cause. 👖

After a tough deliberation process, we’re pleased to announce the winner of the 2024 Indigenous Storytellers Scholarship is Ruby Shay! The talented singer-songwriter and Dharug woman received $10,000 from Greater Bank in support of the Façon Australia initiative for her powerful storytelling and profound ability to connect listeners with her heritage. Ruby plans to put the scholarship towards realising her dream of releasing an album and will also receive mentorship from renowned musician, Mitch Tambo. “I truly believe that if we are given the gift of storytelling, that it is our duty and purpose, that we owe it to the universe to share it,” Ruby said. ❤️ Congratulations to Ruby and the other finalists from this year’s program who are showcasing the talent and creativity of our First Nations people across the state and beyond. 🌍

🎓 We're thrilled to announce the return of the Greater Bank Finance Academy in 2024! Developed through a proud partnership with The University of Newcastle, this program will see employee ambassadors, like our Glendale Branch Manager Emma Dumbrill, teach practical financial literacy skills at local high schools alongside university students over the coming months. 📚 Since 2019, the Greater Bank Finance Academy has been delivered to over 4,500 high school students from 126 classrooms across the Hunter, Central Coast, and Newcastle regions.
