We are a small team of accredited Exercise Physiologists and allied health professionals committed to best practice service provision at all levels. We have an average of seven years industry based experience. Healthy Work Options is ISO:9001, 2008 certified. Healthy Work Options specialises in supervised short term exercise programs (work related activities) that improve functional capacity and enhance fitness for work. Healthy Work Options’ programs are tailored to the person, their functional needs, goals and work. A tailored program is implemented using a cognitive behavioural approach and includes: the prescription of stretching, core strengthening and specific resistance based exercises, cardiovascular conditioning and education on correct manual handling and movement patterns, relating to the functional/work needs of the individual. Programs can be conducted in the workplace, home, pool or in the gym, depending on the purpose of the program and only reasonably necessary treatment is suggested ranging from one, up to eight sessions. Our services include: - Workplace based exercise programs - Home based exercise programs - Community based exercise programs - Hydrotherapy based programs - WorkHab functional capacity evaluations - Gym programs - Nominated Treating Doctor Case Conferences - One off assessment - Manual handling education - Adjustment to Injury assessment and treatment - Dietetic assessment and treatment.

Meet Rose, a 55-year-old NDIS client who has found new confidence and joy in her exercise routine! 🌊💪 When we first met Rose, she was hesitant to engage in any exercise due to fear and anxiety. We started with gentle hydrotherapy sessions to build her confidence, focusing on walking exercises and upper body movements in the water. Rose has since found that these sessions have not only improved her physical strength but have also been incredibly beneficial for her mental health and she now happily attends independent pool sessions regularly. 📢 Australians are set to gain faster relief and recovery from lower back pain thanks to a landmark decision recognising Exercise Physiologists as primary care providers for lower back injuries. Here’s how we’re implementing the model of care to support you: 1️⃣ Patient Education: From the first assessment, you’ll receive one-on-one education supporting self-management. We’ll provide advice to keep you moving and participating in normal activities as much as possible. 2️⃣ Cognitive Behavioural Approach: We use cognitive behavioural therapy principles to help you understand the relationship between beliefs and behaviours, and develop a goal-oriented plan of care. 3️⃣ Active Physical Therapy Encouraged: Our approach emphasises self-management and a staged resumption of normal activities. Physical therapies will primarily be ‘hands off,’ with support from allied health practitioners or practice nurses. With this new model, we’re committed to improving your health and quality of life. 💪
