Recently South Australian Government supported local manufacturers Hendon Semiconductors through our Economic Recovery Fund to upgrade facilities and equipment. Today I had the pleasure of visiting their site to see their work in action. Hendon Semiconductors are a local manufacturing company with over 60 years’ experience in the design, development, and manufacturing of electronic assemblies. Established in 1959, HSC was the state’s first semiconductor manufacturer (and one of only a few in Australia) responsible for the design, test and manufacture of microelectronic products - and remain as important to our economy today.

Thanks to the Honourable Stephen Mullighan MP, South Australian Treasurer and Minister for Defence and Space Industries for coming to visit Hendon Semiconductors and learn about both what we do and how our recent success with the Economic Recovery Fund Grant is going to help propel us to the next level and support sovereign innovation.

Great to have The Honourable Mark Butler MP Minister for Health and Aged Care visit us today to see first-hand how we are enabling sovereign innovation in Defence, Medical and other sectors. As our local member, The Minister supported our application for our Sovereign Industrial Capability Priority Grant and so we were to have happy to have the chance to explain how it is already benefiting Australian industry.
