Another month done & dusted! Here’s what we were up to during July at Horizon… ✨ 96.5 WaveFM named the winner of the Horizon Bank ‘School of the Year’ for 2024! Nazareth Catholic Primary School in Shellharbour City won themselves $10,000 for their school! Congratulations! 🌿Callala Community Garden were recently able to install a recycled plastic picnic table in their fantastic garden space, thanks to a Horizon Bank Community Grant! This is a great addition for the community can better enjoy the beautiful area that surrounds! 🥳 We celebrated Berry Branch’s 1st Anniversary! Time flies when you’re having fun. In the past year we've been pleased to be involved in so many fun things to support our Berry community. A huge well done to the Berry branch team, Julie, Kim & Cortney, for all their hard work the last year! ☀️ Jenny & Ella from our Moruya branch headed to Narooma to present ‘Best on Ground’ winners, Footy to Fight MND, their cheque. It was a great day of footy & some brave participants took part in the Big Freeze all for a great cause! 🌟 Our Wollongong branch team brought their A-game at the Wollongong City Council Social Club’s Trivia Night, sponsored by Horizon, going up against 26 other teams. Woah, June was a HUGE month here at Horizon 👏 Here’s what we had going on… 🤩 Applications for The Horizon Bank Community Grants were open for the month of June. We are proud to support our local communities & the projects or programs that make a lasting difference. 🎨 The Thirroul Seaside & Arts Festival Art Show was a HIT! We saw a great turnout, with lots of enthusiastic art lovers admiring a record over 300 artworks! 🥫Our Wollongong branch have been collecting donations of non-perishable food for the WHHHS to help those in the local community who are less fortunate. ✨ 96.5 WaveFM’s School Of The Year sponsored by Horizon opened up their nominations & voting! One lucky school will receive a huge $10,000! Check out WaveFM’s website for more information. 💪 Lifeline South Coast have been able to hold some free workshops for the Illawarra & South Coast communities thanks to a Horizon Bank Community Grant. 🫖 All 10 of our branches hosted their very own Biggest Morning Tea’s over the last few weeks to support the Cancer Council. 🚵 Clearing the path! As the worthy recipients of a Horizon Bank Community Grant, Narooma Mountain Bike Club were able to purchase 30 rake hoes to help with the maintenance of their trails. 🏈 Branch Manager Jess & Howie headed to support the June winners of ‘Best on Ground’, Tathra Sea Eagles Rugby League Football Club, and hand them their $500 cheque! 🚗 We had the i98 Street Fleet swing by our Albion Park branch. The team handed our heaps of goodie bags and helped us promote our $3,000 cash giveaway competition. 🏥 Thanks to a Horizon Bank Community Grant Kidzfix were able to purchase 3 new AIRVO 2 units for the Shoalhaven Hospital Children’s Ward & Emergency Wards. 🏀 How good do the Horizon Bank All Star’s look in their fresh new uniforms sponsored by Horizon? The U16’s team have been killing it on the court and are ready to take on the season! 🚶♀️Lili & Angela from our Wollongong Branch took on The Bloody Long Walk, a 35km walk challenge to raise awareness for Mitochondrial Disease. Kidzfix were able to purchase 3 new AIRVO 2 units recently for the Shoalhaven Hospital Children’s Ward & Emergency Wards thanks to a Horizon Bank Community Grant! 🌟 These machines are incredibly important and helpful to the hospital as they provide high flow humidified oxygen to support patients. In particular these will be mostly used for children who have rib fractures, pneumonia and babies with bronchitis. ✨ The 2024 Horizon Bank Community Grants program applications are closing this Sunday! Clearing the path! 🚵 As the worthy recipients of a Horizon Bank Community Grant, the Narooma Mountain Bike Club were able to purchase 30 rake hoes to help with the maintenance of their trails! They're responsible for the maintenance of 90kms of mountain bike trails. Having community rake hoes on their trails mean riders can pitch in and help clear the trails during their rides. This relieves some pressure on club volunteers who have been solely responsible for that huge task! 🌄 #HorizonBank #CommunityGrantsProgram #Narooma #MTBNarooma

It felt like the month of May came and went in a flash! ✨ This is what we were up to at Horizon… 🌳 The volunteers at Panboola Wetlands were the worthy recipients of a Horizon Bank Community Grant and were able to install air conditioning & blinds in their shed office to allow it to be a more usable space throughout the seasons. They’ll now have the ability to hold new workshops, events & education in their space all year round. 🥫Our Moruya branch were a collection point for Anglicare’s Winter Pantry Appeal again this year, collecting non-perishable food to support vulnerable people in the local Moruya community. ⚽ Jess our Merimbula Branch Manager headed down to Wolumla Tigers Soccer Club for another Best on Ground event sponsored by Horizon! Jess & Howie the Horizon Bear helped 2EC present the football club with their Best on Ground cheque. 🐶 Our Albion Park branch team headed to the Albion Park Dog Show. The puppies all looked super cute in their Horizon merch and got all the pats! 🌟 Our Directors and Executive Management Team have been hard at work strategically planning a bright future for Horizon! There are some big goals & exciting initiatives in the works. ☀️ We closed out the month with yet another great Best on Ground event sponsored by Horizon. Robyn from our Merimbula branch headed down to Merimbula Grasshoppers Football Club on this sunny day with Howie the Horizon Bear to cheer on the kids.
