Meet Bianca: Seasoned Office Clerk 👩💻to Hydraulics Hose Fitter👩🔧 At Hoses24, we're proud to showcase the unique journey of one of our dedicated team members, Bianca. For a decade, Bianca excelled in administration and accounting, navigating through complex systems, policies, and processes. Turning her interests to the Mining Industry, she stumbled across our company and decided working with her hands was something she was keen on. Embracing that dramatic shift, Bianca dove headfirst into the world of Hydraulics and Fluid Power. With Hoses24, she found her calling. As a Hose Fitter in training, she's quickly become an influential team member, her enthusiasm radiates throughout her work, and we couldn’t be happier having her onboard. In just 6 months, Bianca has transitioned from the office to the field, from theory to practice. She's now confidently servicing large machinery across mine sites, independently tackling everything from small range diggers to mammoth 800-tonne excavators, such as the CAT 6060 as shown below. Her journey is a testament to the empowerment and opportunities within Hoses24 and the mining industry at large. It's our people that drive our business and keep us on our toes to ensure we can provide the best learning experience here at H24. Breaking New Ground: Celebrating the Journey of Jess Jones in our business, on International Women’s Day. As we commemorate International Women's Day, it's our privilege to spotlight our Co-founder and leading member in the Executive Team for Hoses24, Jess Jones. Her dedication within the mining sector encapsulates a leader juggling both family life and a corporate role in an ever-evolving competitive niche’ space.   Her story is shared with her husband Dave Jones together they are the ‘green team’. They have grown together and have the utmost appreciation for each other. Jess’ journey stands as a testament to her dedication to her family, expertise and love for her Hoses24 family and the actions they take to solve their customers problems. In the humble beginnings of 2012, Hoses24 was established by Jess and Dave. They started operations of their Hydraulics Maintenance service to the Mines in Central QLD. Operating out of their farmhouse in Emerald - office by day and onsite completing stock runs by night. They had a goal to create the best customer-centric service the industry had ever seen – a custom service solution like no other. Jess was not only pathing her way as a businesswoman in mining but also juggling and raising three young children, teaching them life skills at the same time. A balance when perfected right can bring wholesomeness to any household. Jess and Dave have certainly ripped the end out of the mantra that you cannot work with your partner and still have a life outside work. They are two peas in a pod. Hoses24 now stands as a company with 21 mobile service trucks and a team of 72 people, with no plans to slow down on solving customers problems anytime soon. Jess drives a strong focus on innovation strategies and unique problem-solving abilities bringing Hoses24 into new levels of customer solutions. This aligned with the company’s insights into servicing machines and preventing downtime have not only saved millions in operational costs but have also increased efficiency and safety in the field. As a co-founder, she has redefined leadership. She advocates for a culture that values diverse perspectives and inclusive growth. Her mentorship programs have empowered women to step into roles that were once perceived to be out of reach. Her story is an open invitation for more women to explore the potential within the mining industry.
