We were delighted to welcome The Hon. New scholarships awarded! 🌟💡 Congratulations to 12 up-and-coming researchers from the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research who were awarded top-up scholarships last week! Funded by The Hospital Research Foundation Group, the scholarships were presented by the Minister for Health and Wellbeing, Hon Chris Picton MP, and cover research in areas including breast cancer, head and neck cancer, vaccines, surgery and more. The scholarships have also been named in honour of significant contributors to medical research in SA. 🩷Hope During Cancer Treatment🩷 When Port Lincoln resident Tabetha Wilkes faced breast cancer surgery in Adelaide, she found solace with Under Our Roof, our family-style accommodation for country cancer patients. 🏠✨ “Staying in one of their homes eased the financial burden and allowed me to focus on my health,” Tabetha said. The supportive environment made a challenging time feel a bit lighter for Tabetha.
