Wow! Last week was jam packed at the All Energy Australia Conference in Melbourne. Was great to connect with so many passionate people in the industry dedicating themselves to the cause. 🙌 Was great to share the stage with Clare Luehman GAICD, FCA, Richard Phillips, Professor David Hill, Steve Hoy, Andrew Sibley and Graeme Harding - each discussing our experiences on progressing the #energy #transition. Some interesting takeways over the 2 day conference included: 💡95% RE target for Victoria by 2035. 💡The important role #CER will have. 💡"Using hydrogen in the home is like importing expensive italian sparkling water to wash your dishes, but it has its place in the industrial processes." 💡Increases in LNG investment over the next decade is going to eat into the clean energy transition i.e: its not just displacing coal now, its starting to displace renewables - we can't let this happen. 💡 #Australia isn't good at completing projects on time or within budget because (A) the government is good at announcing projects and then doing the business case afterwards (e.g: Snowy 2.0). (B) there is a lack of coordination among government projects and everyone is trying to do everything at the same time - creating competition for resources and materials (e.g: Olympics vs transport projects vs energy transition projects). 💡#Nuclear doesn't make financial sense in Australia as we already have a set of commercially viable solutions. 💡Australia is ahead of their #transmission #infrastructure journey when compared to countries like the UK. 💡For every dollar spent on system strength infrastructure it delivers $5 worth of benefit to consumers. 💡Australia has a long way to go with regard to energy efficiency when compared to other countries. 💡RIT-T process is creating barriers to meeting objectives and the pain is being felt across the nation. 💡#Data-centers have a big role to play in the upcoming transition! #FCAS 💡Grid forming inverters and synchronous condensers have a key role in the energy transition (watch out for that lead time)! At Incite Energy we are across the latest and greatest BUT more importantly we understand what works and what doesn't when implementing energy solutions across a range of industries. Don't hesitate to get in contact if you need a group of passionate people to help you get things done! 💪

Following on from Amazon Web Services (AWS)'s recognition of JourneyOne and Incite Energy at the AWS Canberra Forum, we're excited to share more about this work – straight from the AWS studio.   Shawn Male recently interviewed Incite Energy's Greg Denton and JourneyOne's Cristian Southall to find out more about the project that won the Digital Transformation Visionary accolade last month. This is a snippet from that interview, with the full version available on our website (link in the comments). Once again, we're proud to have played a part in Incite's project and are humbled by the recognition from AWS!   #remarkablejourneys #aws #greenenergy

🚀Unlocking the Power of Consumer Energy Resources with the BESY Energy Platform Distributed and Consumer Energy Resources (DERs and CERs) are reshaping our energy landscape, empowering communities, and driving us towards a greener future. Here's why DERs are a game-changer for Australia:  🔋 Empowering Consumers: DERs put power back into the hands of everyday Australians! From rooftop solar panels to home battery storage systems, consumers can now generate, store, and manage their own energy. This not only reduces electricity bills but also promotes energy independence. 🌱 Environmental Impact: By embracing DERs, we're significantly cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions, bringing us one step closer to a carbon-neutral future.  ⚡ Enhanced Grid Resilience: DERs contribute to a more resilient and reliable energy grid. In times of peak demand or emergencies, distributed resources can provide crucial support, reducing the risk of blackouts and ensuring a stable power supply. 🚀 Innovation and Technology: Australia is at the cutting edge of DER innovation. With smart grids, energy management systems, and peer-to-peer energy trading platforms, we're creating a more efficient and flexible energy system. 💡 Economic Growth: The DER sector is a booming industry, creating jobs and driving economic growth across Australia, from manufacturing and installation to maintenance and innovation. 🏠 Community Benefits: DERs foster stronger, more connected communities, where community energy initiatives can provide cost-effective solutions for everyone. At Incite Energy, we’re proud to champion this transformation with our BESY Energy Platform – contact us to find out more!    #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #DistributedEnergy #DER #Australia #CleanEnergy #Innovation #CommunityPower #GreenFuture

✨ Incite Energy is proud to share that our collaboration with IT & Digital Transformation champion JourneyOne has been recognised with the Digital Transformation Visionary accolade at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Forum held in Canberra earlier this month. 🏅 Our joint work was focused around helping Norfolk Island residents transition quicker to renewable energies by launching our BESY Energy Platform. This cloud-native smart grid solution incentivises and coordinates the implementation of high levels of small-scale Consumer and Distributed Energy Resources (CER and DER) using primarily Solar Photovoltaic generation, Battery Energy Storage Solutions and Automated Demand Side Management. ☀🔋🖥 🤲 It’s been great working with the team of JourneyOne and we look forward to further collaborations to tackle the clean energy revolution! 🌞 Contact us to find out more!

🎉 Huge Congrats to Frontier Energy Limited on this Major Milestone! 🌟 Incite Energy is thrilled to have supported Frontier Energy in preparing and submitting their certified reserve capacity application. 🔋☀️ Tackling a complex solar + DC coupled BESS system meant our engineers had to independently model each asset and then model the combined system to prove peak output. Looking for expert support to navigate the rest of this year’s process? Or planning to enter the reserve capacity market next year? Let's connect and get ahead of the curve! 🚀 #EnergyTransition #SolarPower #BESS #MilestoneAchieved #EngineeringExcellence #InciteEnergy

Frontier is pleased to announce the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) has assigned Certified Reserve Capacity to the company’s Waroona Renewable Energy Project. Our CEO Adam Kiley commented: “This is a major milestone for the company as the assignment of Certified Reserve Capacity is an endorsement from the AEMO regarding the project’s credentials to become a significant energy producing asset in Western Australia by 2026. "Reserve capacity is unique to WA and a key reason why the economics of our project stand out significantly compared to other renewable energy opportunities throughout Australia. "The DFS forecast Reserve Capacity payments could generate up to $27 million per annum, or around 36% of total revenue. "Receiving Reserve Capacity status is perhaps most important from a debt financing perspective, as this fixed and guaranteed revenue stream underpins the project’s debt capacity. The Reserve Capacity payments alone cover interest, debt repayments and some operating costs, allowing the company to sell its energy into the merchant market with no fixed price power purchase agreement, and to take advantage of peak energy prices.” Read the full ASX release here: https://loom.ly/4RL8fSc
