📢 Exciting News! The School to Work Program is underway! 🚀 Attention all employers! We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand new School to Work program, aimed at facilitating work-based learning opportunities for students. ???Why is Work-Based Learning so important, you ask??? Well, it provides students with a valuable opportunity to gain a better understanding of employer expectations, develop essential employability skills, and help make informed decisions about their career pathways. The School to Work Program offers five types of work-based learning experiences: 1️⃣ Work Experience: Hands-on placements that give students a taste of different industries. 2️⃣ Structured Workplace Learning (SWL): Regular placements that allow students to apply their skills in real-world settings. 3️⃣ School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs): Non-government school students can engage in apprenticeships and traineeships while completing their studies. 4️⃣ Workplace Visits and Industry Tours: Opportunities for students to explore different workplaces and gain industry insights. 5️⃣ Life Skills Programs and Work-Readiness Activities: Collaborative initiatives that directly involve industry professionals, preparing students for the workforce. Together we can bridge the gap between education and industry, and empower our students for success! #SchoolToWork #WorkBasedLearning #EmpoweringStudents #CareerPathways VicLLENs - Victorian Local Learning and Employment Networks

A fantastic day spent with like minded people SocialTraders Convene 2024. We learnt so many things from great speakers and expanded our knowledge of the values of social procurement and trading. The highlight was meeting people who are as passionate about Social values as we at Inner Eastern LLEN . We look forward to connecting with like minded organisations and people in the future, Human Quotient Group Cuppa FSEH #HumbleBrag #ESG #SocialTrade

Thank you, Yarra Valley Water, for supporting Strathcona Girls Grammar with their Careers in STEM talk program! Bronwyn Herron and Roger Kumarasinghe provided invaluable insights into careers in water, their personal journeys, and Yarra Valley Water's essential work in our community. The students were captivated by the speakers and asked insightful questions. We're confident that this experience has opened their eyes to the exciting opportunities available in the water industry. A special thanks to Jenny Hiller and Australian Water Association for connecting us with Roger and Bronwyn from YVW. The IELLEN loved collaborating with the school and Xin Chen on this program and can't wait to continue inspiring students in 2025.

Our new Vet Cluster is getting positive results with some fantastic feedback from Bemin Secondary College "it is to deal with a really well run LLEN, I am very impressed by how smooth and simple your information is, from your VET application portal, to the wonderful VET offerings, which I feel I can say is far beyond what students in the west have access to". Congratulations Penny #VetCluster #Secondary Education #VocationalEducation

The IELLEN enjoyed supporting AFL SportsReady and The Ready Foundation with this initiative. It was great to see the students grow in the 4 days. We look forward to hearing about the students fundraising achievements in the months to come.
𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙨! AFL SportsReady was proud to sponsor The Ready Foundation: Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy Boot Camp, held at Monash College’s City Campus over the school holidays. Over four inspiring days, students from seven schools came together to learn about entrepreneurship, AI and philanthropy while raising funds for The Ready Foundation. This Boot Camp was not just about work experience - it was about making a difference! Students explored AI, entrepreneurship and the power of giving back in a series of interactive workshops and team collaborations. The final day featured a pitch competition where students presented their fundraising ideas to an esteemed panel of judges, including Dr Samantha Smith, Sally Powell GAICD, Jane Trewin and AFL SportsReady Alumni Caity Read. A big thank you to the talented Monash College Future Skills educators - Di Schmidtke, James Kernick and Douglas Dean - and to our fellow sponsors, iEllen and Monash College Future Skills, for helping bring this incredible event to life. We are so proud to be involved in empowering young minds to make a difference and can't wait to see the students’ innovative ideas come to life! The Ready Foundation: https://lnkd.in/gQy8wK9m
