UK Delegation Day 4 – Thursday 20th March 2025 Today saw plenty more action at Insurtech Insights, with insightful discussion onstage (including panels moderated by Simon Pink – QBE Ventures and our own Simone Dossetor amongst others) supplemented by a massive amount of delegate networking meetings everywhere else! Plenty of Aussies dropped by to say hi as well (check out some familiar faces in our photos). Our UK Delegation group skated across from the close of Insurtech Insights to the special and much awaited UK-Australia Insurtech Pathways launch event, held by the UK Department for Business and Trade and hosted by QBE Insurance. After the official signing ceremony by UK Gov, Insurtech Australia and Insurtech UK, there was lots more discussion and networking in the crowded room before the day came to a close. UK Delegation Day 3 – Wednesday 19th March 2025 Today was our busiest by far! Insurtech Insights started today with a multitude of sessions to attend, AI and embedded insurance featuring strongly. We haven’t stopped talking all day. There’s been heaps of interest shown in the Australian Insurtech sector and, with the UK -Australia Pathways London launch happening tomorrow evening, this is timely! Our Insurtech Australia booth turned out to be an opportune meeting place for our delegates. Lots of visitors turned up too, as you’ve seen from Simone’s post! Later in the day we split up to cover many networking opportunities at the varied fringe events, our delegates meeting as many people as possible - keen to build their brands in a global market. Guidewire Software’s ‘Toast to Tech’ wine tasting event was a favourite, where we also got to hear from some of their featured Vanguards (Xtract, K2G and IntelligentAI™ - United Kingdom). The sun was out and the meetings have started, with our first major event being Insurtech UK’s Member Pitching Session held in partnership with Aon. In the past week, in between launching our Insurtech Report and making final arrangements for our UK Delegation, we’ve managed to find time to pack up and shift our increasingly-agile operations to new digs at Barangaroo. Insurance News Outlook 2025 Conference – Tuesday 12th March Yesterday was another busy day for the Insurtech Australia team! Thanks to Insurance News for our inclusion in this event – our CEO Simone Dossetor participated in an on stage discussion on ‘What does the future see for technology’ with fellow panelists Stella Pruscino (Edgewise Insurance Brokers), Glen Riddell from Berkley Re (a Berkley Company) and Sam Weaver (Coalition, Inc.), expertly moderated by Miranda Maxwell. It was great to hear their insights. Ultimately, humans continue to address the complex issues. However, tech usage is leading to a future where a more positive, open and communicative industry shares knowledge and uses technology to provide flexibility and overcome some of the common issues currently occurring. We're looking forward to more forums like this one!
