We have completed the final studies in our PFS for Li-ion battery recycling. The findings show that a commercial-scale plant using our DES technology is both cost-competitive and more environmentally friendly than traditional methods. With these strong PFS results, we’re confident in advancing to the next stage of commercialisation: https://lnkd.in/gHEe2jPX Our CEO Dr. Ebbe Dommisse commented: “Our PFS activities, conducted in collaboration with leading organisations, have solidified the technical feasibility and commercial viability of Iondrive’s DES battery recycling technology. By partnering with high-calibre consultants and engineering experts, we’ve rigorously derisked this innovative process, demonstrating substantial economic advantages, including significantly lower capital and operating costs, compared to traditional recycling methods. Equally important, our technology offers an environmentally sustainable solution, aligning with global demand for greener, closed-loop battery recycling practices. The board and I are excited to take the next steps toward pilot plant development and to further engage with potential partners and non-dilutive funding sources. We are committed to advancing Iondrive’s DES technology as a competitive, responsible choice for critical mineral recovery in key markets and look forward to its transformative impact on the battery recycling industry.” Rho Motion PEM Motion PEM RWTH Aachen University Wood Benchmark Mineral Intelligence #BatteryRecycling #LiIonBatteries #GreenTech #SustainableFuture #CircularEconomy #EcoInnovation #TechForGood #EnergyTransition #Cleantech #SustainableSolutions #RecyclingInnovation #NextGenTech #FutureOfEnergy #EnvironmentalImpact

🌍 Benchmark’s latest data shows that the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act targets are ambitious but not out of reach—especially in recycling. With significant gaps across #lithium, #cobalt, #manganese, and #graphite, the EU will need a dramatic boost in recycling capacity to meet these goals.
Can the EU meet its CRMA goals? 🌍 The EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) laid out several ambitious goals to strengthen its #criticalmineral supply chains. The CRMA sets out targets for the EU to develop sufficient #mining, processing and #recycling capacity to fulfill downstream demand. 🔎 Benchmark data reveals that, with the exception of nickel mining, none of the battery minerals deemed strategic by the EU are on track to meet CRMA goals. ⬇️ Our latest infographic with Visual Capitalist compares EU-based supply of lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese and graphite with CRMA targets to visualise the EU critical minerals gap. This infographic is powered by Benchmark's proprietary data and expert policy analysis. Our full range of Forecast subscriptions include market-specific policy reports. 🔋 Australia’s lithium-ion battery use is skyrocketing, yet the nation recycles only 10% of its LIBs. Most end up in landfills, leaking toxic metals that pose environmental and health risks. While East Asia handles the bulk of global battery recycling, Australia’s lack of an industrial-scale facility leaves a significant gap in managing LIB waste sustainably. The article underscores this challenge and highlights the urgent need for local recycling infrastructure. The upcoming $5 million ARC Training Centre for Battery Recycling at the University of Adelaide, where Iondrive is a proud partner, aims to close this gap by delivering industry-led recycling solutions and training a skilled workforce to support Australia’s circular economy. At Iondrive, we’re advancing local, eco-friendly recycling with our DES technology, recovering critical minerals to create value from LIB waste and reduce reliance on offshore processing. ♻️ Read more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gFSaxiS2 #BatteryRecycling #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #ARCTrainingCentre #CriticalMinerals

Iondrive (ASX:ION) reposted this
Iondrive (ASX:ION) Ltd has achieved “breakthrough” results in a new study of its lithium-ion #BatteryRecycling process, transforming black mass from shredded spent batteries into recycled nickel, cobalt, manganese and lithium. The tests demonstrated high selective recovery rates for the four valuable #CriticalMinerals, even while using lower-quality raw black mass material. The company used a simple three-stage pretreatment process to remove impurities, including polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymers, graphite and ferrous iron to achieve recoveries of 100% nickel, 98.6% cobalt, 98.4% manganese and 89.1% lithium. “Achieving such high recovery rates from mixed Black Mass is a significant step forward," Iondrive CEO Dr Ebbe Dommisse said “Compared to our previous trials, which used pristine material, these new results demonstrate the robustness of our process, even with lower-quality, mixed material..."
