A Heavy Lift for a Powerful Future! IREN’s multi-disciplinary engineering teams successfully installed the Childress Phase 4 substation transformer over the weekend, bringing the company one step closer to energizing an additional 150MW of data center capacity. David Shaw, Chief Operating Officer, commented: "With unprecedented growth in the data center industry and increasingly constrained supply chains, careful and proactive planning is more critical than ever. The ahead-of-schedule installation of this 138/34.5 kV transformer underscores the strategic importance of IREN’s internal procurement team and strength of our supplier partnerships."
