At Joval Group, we're proud to partner with OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue charity. Since Ronni Kahn AO founded OzHarvest in 2004, they’ve delivered 18 million meals and rescued 9 million kg of food, helping to fight hunger and reduce waste. As a primary producer, we're deeply committed to sustainability. Our partnership with OzHarvest aligns perfectly with our values and allows us to make a tangible difference in our community. Along with many others, we support OzHarvest not only through donations but also by engaging our team in volunteering initiatives, including the inspiring 'Cooking for a Cause' program. Together, we’re tackling food waste and hunger while supporting our communities. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing team for your dedication and contributions to this vital cause 🙏 Please join us in celebrating OzHarvest’s 20th anniversary, culminating with a live music event "Unite to Feed Australia LIVE" which is aiming to raise $2.5 million for 5 million meals to reduce the national food crisis. This special concert will feature an incredible line up of much-loved Aussie artists at the ICC Theatre Sydney on November 7th. Today is International Women's Day and it is an opportunity for us to pause and reflect on the progress we've made and the work that still lies ahead. This year's theme for IWD is: "Count Her In. Invest in Her. Accelerate Progress.” We are acutely aware that our own business has work to do and we’re committed to doing everything we need to do to make lasting change. Joval Group’s Diversity & Wellbeing Committee have put together a short, inspirational video featuring insights and advice from some amazing people within our company. We are very proud to be working with so many talented and inspiring women at all levels. Happy International Women’s Day.

On the 17th of November, Australian Women in Wine hosted their first AWIW symposium in Sydney, proudly sponsored by Plumm. The theme of the day was “Leadership & Ambition: Exploring the challenges women face pursuing a career in the Australian wine industry and how to advance them to positions of power for the betterment of the industry.” As part of the day, delegates discussed, put forward and then voted on the top actions to improve gender equality. The results are, in order of priority: - An industry-wide strategy with accountability measures in place - Funding for AWIW and/or a full-time Diversity, Equality and Inclusion position - Mentoring program available in every wine region It was an honour for several of our female leaders to be involved in the event, to listen and take part in conversations with some of Australia’s most influential women in wine from all sectors of the industry. Joval Group is proud to be contributing and working towards the advancement of gender equality within the whole industry. Photography by Dan Gosse.
