The news is out: I'm excited to share that our team here at Kivera becomes part of Cloudflare today! When I joined Kivera I knew we were on to something big. Co-founders Neil Brown and Vernon J. spent years consulting to enterprise customers on cloud transformation projects where it became obvious that existing approaches to cloud security aren't working and instead overwhelm security teams with alerts that could and should be prevented in the first place. We built Kivera to help. Today, our customers are effectively implementing preventative controls that stop cloud misconfigurations from happening in the first place and eliminate the wasted time spent on remediation. We've made incredible progress with amazing support from our customers, partners, investors Tripp Callan Round13 Capital Jonathan Spinks. I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with one of the most amazing teams in the world. And Kivera’s journey is just beginning. We're extremely excited to fuse our capabilities and talent with Cloudflare to put preventive controls directly into the cloud deployment process. Read more here:

This appears to be another case of a preventable cloud misconfiguration exposing highly sensitive data. Detecting these types of issues with CSPMs after the fact (in this case 681 days later) is inadequate. Preventative controls must be incorporated into cloud security programs. https://lnkd.in/ddwYXyyY

Leveraging preventive guardrails that are easy to configure and fast to deploy enables developers whilst maintaining a strong security posture. Great article by HackerNoon "Best practices for implementing a prevent-first strategy include phasing in prevention by starting with the highest-risk misconfiguration threats and then incrementally expanding policies."
"The future of security is prevention combined with detection. Organizations still need layered defenses to catch evolving threats. But prevention must come first to establish a robust security posture."
