After two years as a Partner Manager at Pinterest, Paige is well-versed in handling client relationships and campaign management and has hit the ground running with Linkby as a result. ⭐ Jaymie Walker: Also based in Sydney, Jaymie joins us from Pedestrian Group to help us manage our Tier One agency relationships. With over eight years of experience under her belt, we're thrilled to have her on our team. ⭐ Bec Hawkins: Like Jaymie, Bec also joins us from Pedestrian Group, where she spent the last 2+ years working on big agency and brand partnerships.     BFF = Big Fig x Forbes! 🤝 Created by a father-daughter duo, Big Fig Mattress Mattress is the perfect example of a brand that developed a product based on a deep understanding of its customer’s needs. The US company creates extra sturdy and supportive mattresses and bed frames for plus-size sleepers.  😴 Keen to spread its message of body positivity, the brand pitched their Labor Day sale campaign to Forbes.     According to the Advertising Council Australia's Create Space Census 2023, only 12% of ethnic minorities hold C-Suite positions across the Australian media, advertising and marketing industry. In other words, cultural representation is something that’s desperately missing in local company leadership. 💡 It’s a matter that led four senior industry leaders to start Smelly Lunch Stories, a not-for-profit organisation that hopes to change the lack of diversity in leadership roles. Dentsu Creative’s Graham Alvarez-Jarratt, It's Friday’s Michelle Miroforidis, Mediahub Worldwide’s Linda Fagerlund and BWS' An Le named the initiative after a universal school memory that many immigrant children experience – including that of our Co-Founder, Chris Wirasinha. Reflecting on his own experience, Chris shared: “Ever since I was a 10-year-old, swapping my curry sandwiches for my friends' plain chicken ones as the only brown kid in my entire school, I had a sense of otherness. I've been fortunate enough to turn this ability to stand out into a superpower and love helping the next generation of media talent do the same.” Chris will be joined by an amazing line-up of speakers from across the industry including An Le herself, Gambol Creative’s Camey O'Keefe’ as moderator and WPP’s ANZ President, Rose Herceg. ⭐ Smelly Lunch Stories will kick off with its first event on October 31 at social enterprise restaurant, Kyiv Social in Chippendale. Take Keto Australia’s most recent campaign, featuring AFL great Brendan Fevola’s weight loss journey. After losing over 30kg by following its diet plan, the brand’s PR agency – kafandco – utilised Linkby to score premium coverage with Australia’s biggest publishers. Working together with the PR agency’s Growth Marketing Manager, Kate Forrester, our team was able to establish the perfect hook that had publishers including Men's Health Australia and Seven West Media racing to hit accept.     This week, our Head of Partnerships (UK & North America) Caitlin Hibbert and our UK Publisher Partnerships Lead Millie Talbot attended Mail Metro Media’s Upfront & Centre event in London. The event showcased strategies to engage audiences through innovative content across all their titles, including MailOnline and Metro. MMM also highlighted some new developments in podcasts, video, and social media – as well as a relaunch of the MailOnline app. The event was also a great chance to catch up with senior management at MMM and network with advertisers, as well as witness comedian Katherine Ryan and Olympian Katarina Johnson-Thompson up on stage. One noteworthy discussion the team enjoyed included Metro’s Editor-in-Chief, Debora Arthur. She explained that Metro often produce two (!!) pieces of content on the same story, each tailored to engage different audience groups. Recognising that generations consume media in diverse ways, Arthur emphasised the importance of allowing publishers to identify the angle or hook that will best resonate with their specific readers (exactly what we're all about!). #UpfrontAndCentre #MailMetroMedia #Networking
