Super session at Fine Food Australia yesterday moderated by the equally super Tyrone H.. Thanks for sharing the panel with me 👩💻Amy Renae (CFE) (ALA) and Sarah Franklyn. We covered dozens of best practices that every owner and operator should be applying to increase visits, up average order value and build a powerful base of super fans. A few stood out for me: 1. Don't look at loyalty as another thing - it should be part of everything, integrated with your POS, ordering and more. That gives you the ability to ensure you are engaging and rewarding across every channel. 2. New technology like cardlinking takes the friction out of customers earning - with their credit card linked to their loyalty, they earn automagically. Thanks to the team at Tyro Payments for working with us on this innovation. 3. Make it personal - does you POS tell you whether the customer is a loyalty member? Does it surface coupons for you to reward them on the spot? Does your ordering tell you it's time to write a customer a personal thank-you on the delivery bag or even drop a note inside? It should! One of highlight of my recent trip to US was the private dinner I had with the visionary Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn co-founder) & co-author with the incredible Chris Yeh (Blitzscaling) as a portfolio company founder.
