It’s official! We’re happy to announce Club Chin Chin will be extending its stay in Geelong, sticking around at its home at GMHBA Stadium right through 2025. This means the venue will be dishing up a whole lot more fun to come next year, with plenty of riotous Southeast Asian flavours to pair with all the live AFL and AFLW footy action. ‘This splicing of restaurant and nightclub DNA made Chin Chin as much about entertainment as eating. The neon-lit fit-out, cartoon graphics, playlists from name DJs, resort-style cocktails, food focused on approachability more than authenticity, created a model that proliferated across the country. It endures, too. After more than a decade, the original Chin Chin still excels at showing punters a good time.’ We’re delighted to have Chin Chin included in Broadsheet Media's round-up of “The Most Influential Restaurants of the Past 15 Years”, with some very kind words from acclaimed food writer Michael Harden. A special congratulations to our hardworking and talented wine team this week, as we celebrate earning some great accolades in Australia's Wine List of the Year Awards 2024, with Society taking out the title for Australia's Best Listing of French Wines for the second year running. In the program’s overall judging, Kisumé, Grill Americano, Society and Chin Chin Sydney were again awarded the highest rating of Three Wine Glasses, while Yakimono and Chin Chin Melbourne also earned high praise, each list given Two Wine Glasses. Running since 1993, this is considered Australia’s most prestigious awards program for wine and beverage lists, and we’re thrilled to be recognised once again.

“Dining at Lucas’s third Japanese restaurant is an immersive experience. There’s a daily sushi, nigiri and crispy rice menu; sake-based cocktails; and neo-noir AI-generated images on the walls.” Ahead of Tombo Den’s anticipated opening this weekend, we gave Broadsheet a peek behind the scenes on our moody new homage to late-night Tokyo.
