Why we developed Lumin Strength 👇 We developed our strength and conditioning (S&C) software, #LuminStrength, in response to what we identified as a stagnant market that ignored user feedback. It was clear that coaches wanted a more efficient, innovative, user-friendly, and affordable tool. So, we set out to build one. To ensure the platform would be fit-for-purpose, we engaged experienced coaches from across the industry and asked them exactly what they wanted. Armed with that knowledge, we built a platform that made programming faster, more efficient, and easier for athletes to use. Since the launch of version 1 in August, and with thanks to feedback from our engaged clients, we’ve tweaked, added, developed, iterated, and strived to make Lumin Strength better every day. No exceptions. Our product velocity and transparency has seen us welcome clients and coaches from around the world, at every level of sport. Acceleration/ Testing Session for Rugby Official Here’s an insight into an acceleration and testing focused session. Key focuses are as follows: Prep Block (not shown): Specific individual prep - primarily around foot/ calf, lumbo pelvic and spinal engine. Prep Block - Bounce: Low amp plyo options to prep the lower limb. (Linear, Reverse, 2/1 Forward, Ankle Bounds) Drill Block 1 - Posture Drills: Introduce the athletes to postures we are chasing in the session through controlled ranges and speeds. (Load and Lift, Banded Range Finder, Aqua Bag Bounds) Drill Block 2 - Marching & Switching Drills: Reinforce key upright postures, foot positioning and limb exchange. (A March, Switch and Triple Skip) Drill Block 3 - Projection Drills: Reinforce key horizontal postures to increase GCT and lengthen positions. (Resisted to Unresisted Starts) Testing Block - Acceleration: Exposing the athletes to full a full acceleration phase with aim to focus on key KPI’s from previous drills and individual needs. Using VALD Performance timing gates.
