Creators are at the games in a big way this year for the first time, while athletes are going viral for more than winning medals in their sports.
“These athletes are actually talented creators along with what they’re doing on the field or court,” said Jared Kleinstein, the founder and president of Gondola, a startup that tracks social media analytics and helps creators make their portfolios.
NBCUniversal sent 27 creators to cover the Olympics, the first time it offered creators this wide ranging type of access.
