We can't believe it has been six months since the holiday season. We wanted to share this thank-you video we did with producers for our client Bendigo Bank, who gave boxes to all of their staff across Australia. A campaign such as this has a real economic impact on small-batch makers—it's not only an excellent gift for recipients but also supports small businesses that need it most. This video was shared on the staff intranet so that employees could get those 'good feels' again about the support that their employer is showing their local communities. And we can help you tell your story of supporting locals, too. #corporategifts #supportlocal #smallbatch #australianmade

Curated gift boxes that show you support small business and are helping to get regional Australians back on their feet.
About us
We are passionate about small producers, farmers and artisans. The goods they make contribute to the personality of their regions, making them unique and fascinating places to explore, work and live. Bushfires, drought and the global pandemic have had a disastrous impact on regional Australia and the resulting drops in tourism further compound problems for small producers. Madebox, curated, beautifully presented gift boxes that showcase the best of these producers, was born out of the desire to connect them directly to people who would like to help make a difference and show their support. Interesting, unique and unusual products, for people to discover more about what makes regional Australia so special. We are constantly talking to new producers and adding more regions as we hear their stories. Meet our producers and read their stories at madebox.co or on our Instagram page. Discover Australia through the joy of giving and know that you are doing your bit to help create sustainable business for small producers. We can even create customised and co-branded boxes for your client & staff gifts. Every bit helps. Give Good. Support Local.

We worked with our small-batch makers and our friends at Visit Victoria to help entertain guests at this year's Australian Tourism Exchange event, held in Melbourne. Delightful little treats to help guests wind down for the evening after a long and rewarding three days learning about the best Australia has to offer! The goodies included hot chocolate shots by Cuvée Chocolate, amazing Henry Sugar Bar tempura chips, lavender sleep cream from Chinchin Farms, Chai Addict shots, Cabosse & Feve Chocolates and divine body salt scrub from The Spa Beechworth. So good!!! With thanks to Visit Vic's Makida Kebede, Rebecca Schuh, vanu allmand, and Seeker Agency gems Rebekah Clarke-Smith and Anna Sangster for giving us the opportunity to showcase these wonderful makers with your guests! #supportlocal #visitvictoria #ate24 😍

Weather poses a formidable challenge for our dedicated small-batch producers, influencing the success of their crops and ultimately affecting pricing. It can be a make-or-break situation for these businesses. Michael Esposito, owner of Kangaroo Island Olives, aptly says, "Several factors have contributed to (our) price increase. However, the main contributor is that we are short-supplied, as are Australia, Europe, and the USA. Demand is very high while supply remains low." The implications of this shortage are compounded by the disappointing outlook for the 2024 harvest, which is proving to be exceptionally challenging. Michael explains, "The trees simply didn't produce the fruit. A lack of buds during spring meant the tree couldn't produce fruit. 2023 was an above-average year; we knew 2024 would be an 'off-year', but we didn't expect it would be this challenging. This is mainly due to the biennial nature of olive trees." These circumstances further underscore the immense obstacles that our small-batch producers face. However, there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon. Despite the difficulties, Michael mentions a significant amount of new canopy growth, indicating the potential for a fruitful 2025 crop season. This ray of optimism highlights these producers' resilience and unwavering commitment to overcome the hurdles they encounter. In these trying times, rallying around our local producers becomes more critical than ever. They need our support to weather these challenges and continue thriving. As Michael rightfully concludes, "It's going to be a challenging 12 months for our business. Now is the time, more than ever, we need customer support." Let's show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication as we navigate the rising cost of living and consider the burdens our farmers face. #SupportLocal #SmallBatchProducers #AgricultureChallenges #OliveFarming #ClimateImpact #SustainableFarming #LocalFarms #FarmersSupport #FoodSecurity #AgricultureResilience #CropProduction #SustainableAgriculture #FarmToTable #WeatherImpact #FarmingCommunity
