Today in Australia, we are celebrating Father's Day! In tribute to all the hardworking dads out there, we thought we would introduce you to two Magnetica dads! Jason, our CNC Operator and CAM Programmer, is enjoying every cute and cuddly moment of shared experiences with his young family. In particular, he says: "My favourite part about being a dad is all the things we share. We share our looks, we share our mannerisms, we share lots of time, but most importantly, we share our ice cream." Here, Jason is sharing an ice cream and a special moment with his little boy at the Brisbane EKKA. Our Brisbane Facilities Manager, Leigh, is at the other end of the spectrum, with his family now grown. Today he embraces adult shared experiences with his adult kids. Here, Leigh and his son a raising a glass at a recent Brisbane Lions AFL match. Regardless of where you are in your parenting timeline, we respect the commitment it takes to be a dad. Our customers have had a refreshing experience visiting us at Tecmag in Houston this year. Job opportunity - Brisbane-based (Australia). Permanent, full-time position. Magnetica is currently recruiting for the position of CNC Machinist, based in our Northgate office, Brisbane, Australia. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for performing critical manufacturing processes for our medical devices. You’ll be working with a diverse team consisting of MRI physicists, electrical and electronics engineers, MRI system engineers, radiographers, and production support staff. You'll have experience with setting up and operating CNC machines (Haas experience an advantage), epoxy mixing and pouring (or willing to learn), calibration routines and sample runs, manufacturing and inspection record keeping, prototyping and more, preferably within the medical device industry. If you possess formal qualifications in manufacturing and/or have worked within an ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 accredited organisation, your application will be strengthened.
