We had an incredible time at the Geelong Cats Connect in Hoops Business Lunch last Thursday at GMHBA Stadium. It was a fantastic event, and the Marathon Food Industries Pty Ltd team thoroughly enjoyed it! The opportunity to network with other professionals in the industry was invaluable, and the insightful talks from both Kylie Rogers and Steve Hocking were definite highlights. Kylie Rogers, who recently took on the role of CEO at the Victoria Racing Club, shared her unique experiences from her time as AFL’s Executive General Manager of Customer and Commercial. Her insights into the evolving world of customer engagement and major events were both inspiring and relevant to the challenges we face in the business world today. Steve Hocking, Geelong’s CEO and former AFL General Manager of Football, offered a fascinating perspective on the changing landscape of Australian sports, with a focus on leadership and resilience. 🌟 Celebrating Collaboration with Marmalade AUS: The Dim Sim Marathon! 🏃🥟 🌟 We're pumped to announce our recent collaboration with the legendary Marmalade AUS crew! 🎉 In their latest epic adventure, The Dim Sim Marathon, the ever-daring Checkers ran an astounding 85km from the MCG to GMHBA Stadium, all while Srey faced the delicious challenge of devouring 85 dim sims before Checkers could reach the finish line! 🍽️🏅 A special shoutout to our very own Harry, a true Marathon Food Industries institution, who has been with us for over 30 years. 🚚 Harry’s truck not only provided Checkers a crucial lift but also showcased the strength and reliability that Marathon is known for. And when the challenge became too much for Srey, Geelong fans stepped in, fuelled by our tasty dim sims, to help him finish strong! This collaboration wasn’t just about fun and food; it was about connecting with a new generation of Australians who share a passion for sports, humour, and quality snacks. 🎉 What an incredible day yesterday at the Grovedale East IGA store! 🎉 The event was a resounding success, with local school children and their parents showing up in full force, proudly wearing their Geelong gear. The atmosphere was electric, and seeing the joy on everyone's faces as they met their favourite players was priceless. The kids were especially thrilled to get their posters signed and, of course, to enjoy some of our famous dim sims—served up fresh and fast! 😋 A big shoutout to Jenny McKernan and Derek Waters for representing us so well, and to Angela Friswell from Monde Nissin Corporation for being there to support the event.
