  • It’s National Potato Chip Day, and the perfect time to shout out a huge THANK YOU to our partners at Snackbrands Australia! 🥳 For over a decade, Snackbrands has been on a chip-tastic mission, donating 10cents from every pink bag of Thins Himalayan Pink Salt Chips sold at bp and Woolworths to support the McGrath Foundation. They’ve also been the life of the party, supplying tasty treats for our fabulous corporate events, including the iconic Jane McGrath High Tea. Cheers to chips and amazing partnerships 💕

  • “I always thought the McGrath Foundation looked like a wonderful organisation with dedication and purpose, but it’s not until I became a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse that I saw the huge impact it has on people affected by cancer.” Samantha Moules has been a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse for eight years. Since 2021, she’s also been a Nurse Clinical Lead, providing clinical leadership to McGrath Cancer Care Nurses across NSW. “Nurse Clinical Leads provide clinical expertise, mentorship and education to McGrath Cancer Care Nurses across the country,” says Samantha. “There is a strong focus on supporting new McGrath Cancer Care Nurses in their roles and helping establish their services.” As we take our care to all cancers, Samantha is also excited about welcoming even more McGrath Cancer Care Nurses to support people going through all types of cancer, and their families. “Witnessing the impact that the Foundation has had over 20 years of supporting those affected by breast cancer, the expansion into all cancers will bring positive changes to cancer nursing and provide support for everyone impacted by cancer.” #McGrathFoundation #McGrathCancerCareNurse #CancerCare

  • Since 2017, Blessington has raised an incredible $420,000 for the McGrath Foundation to support people and their families going through cancer. As a leading importer and distributor of sewing machines, Blessington turns its passion for sewing into purpose—donating a portion of sales year-round to support the McGrath Foundation. But their generosity doesn’t stop there. In a creative show of support, Blessington used their sewing expertise to craft vibrant pink outfits for the McGrath Foundation team at the 2022 Pink Test, all made from bandanas! This year, as Blessington marked its 25th Anniversary in style with a Gala Dinner, our Ambassador and Director, Tracy Bevan, took the stage to celebrate our partnership and express heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering support. Thank you to Blessington and their amazing community for their continued generosity. Our CEO Holly Masters is special guest on this week’s episode of the FW (Future Women)’s Leadership Series podcast. Her advice to aspiring female leaders: “Open every door and have every conversation because you never know where it will take you.” Holly also talks about making the transition from the corporate world, to leading the McGrath Foundation and guiding our new purpose of ensuring that no one goes through cancer without the care of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse. “We are genuinely driving systemic change that is helping thousands of people diagnosed with cancer. Our nurses are extraordinary and given that 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer, it is an incredible privilege to play a role in really helping people at one of the darkest times of their lives.” #McGrathFoundation #CancerCareNurses

  • Today is World Cancer Day, and this year's theme, United by Unique, reminds us that every cancer experience is deeply individual. With around 1 in 2 people in Australia diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, it will take all of us, together, to ensure that no one faces cancer without the care and support of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse. The future of cancer care in Australia isn’t just bright, it’s more accessible and more wide-reaching than ever. McGrath Cancer Care Nurses provide clinical, emotional, and psychosocial support to people with any type of cancer, for free. Taking our care to all cancers wouldn’t be possible without the collaboration from the broader cancer sector, helping to ensure the program meets the needs of people with cancer and fulfils our collective goal of improving equity in cancer care. We're looking forward to working together as we continue our new journey.   #WorldCancerDay #UnitedByUnique #McGrathCancerCareNurses #CareForAllCancers #McGrathFoundation
