Our CEO, Christofer Catania, will participate in a panel discussing this critical topic, emphasising the opportunities it presents for the mining sector. Chris highlights the importance of approaching decarbonisation with foresight, viewing it as a competitive advantage. “Decarbonisation really is a huge opportunity where, if you look at it from the right lens, you can move ahead of your competitors,” he explains. “Being first to the table means you can not only contribute but help shape the conversation, rather than being left to navigate solutions that might not fully meet your needs.” His insights reflect MEC's forward-thinking approach, positioning the company at the forefront of the industry’s shift towards sustainable practices. Gold Recycling ♻️ Did you know that nearly all of the gold ever mined is still accessible in some form today? As gold is virtually indestructible, it can be endlessly reused, making it a vital part of the circular economy. 💛 Each year, about one-third of all gold is recycled, with the majority—at least 90%—coming from jewellery and the rest from technology. Recycling is also the most responsive source of gold supply, adapting quickly to economic changes and price fluctuations. This sustainable practice helps reduce the need for new mining and supports a more eco-friendly future. #Gold #Recycling #Sustainability #WeAreMEC Source: www.gold.org/gold-supply
