What an honour to be welcomed into the Apropela (formerly Heads Over Heels) community and to share MediStays at Ashurst in Sydney last night! My sincerest gratitude to Kate Harper, Jason Eisner and Rachel Smith - what a team! Thank you also to Ashurst and Champions of Change Coalition, and the wonderful Pete Horsley of Remarkable Tech for introducing me to Apropela! The power of Apropela is a generous community of individuals who harness their connections to support female founders scale the growth & impact of our early-stage companies. So many highlights on the evening, including sharing the stage with two incredible female entrepreneurs Camille Goldstone-Henry of Xylo Systems & Jacqueline Garrett of GGWP Academy! And a personal story that touched our hearts from a connector who shared how MediStays supported her mum to find accommodation during the covid lockdown. These personal stories drive our passion to support people with "accommodation when you need it most". Thank you to my incredibly talented & hardworking team, especially Craig, Melissa, Ally, and our Directors Chris & Brad. Every day, we are proud to support Australians on a health and disability journey, their families and referrers and our network of valued accommodation partners. #femalefounder #apropela #positiveimpact #accommodationwhenyouneeditmost

It was an honour to share the positive impact of MediStays with the Sprint Ventures community this week. Thank you for investing in values driven founders and early stage companies like MediStays ❤️ #positiveimpact #purposedriven #foundersfirst
Yesterday, we hosted a great event in Melbourne bringing together some of our vibrant Sprint Ventures community. Over a delicious lunch our General Partner, Llew Jury, led a portfolio company fireside chat with the visionary Founder of MediStays, Sarah Everitt. Like Sprint Ventures, MediStays is committed to driving positive change in the healthcare sector. Our Managing Partner Georgia Barkell, also delivered an insightful presentation about our latest fund: Sprint Fund III. Building on the success of our two previous funds, this new fund will see us continue to invest in promising founders and critical early-stage companies across AI, Health and Aged Care, Infrastructure, and Climate. It was another successful event for Sprint Ventures. If you want to find out more about us and Sprint Fund III, check out: https://lnkd.in/gvsnB2w6

MediStays are proud to announce our partnership with The Royal Melbourne Hospital Nephrology Department, providing essential support to patients from the country travelling to the hospital for life-saving kidney treatments. The story began more than 35 years ago when John Perrett received a kidney transplant at the RMH, a procedure that profoundly changed his life. Grateful for the care he received, John decided to leave a lasting legacy that would benefit future patients in need of nephrology services. Upon his passing, John bequeathed $19 million to the RMH, marking his incredible generosity and the largest donation ever made to the hospital. One of the key components of this philanthropic initiative is the allocation of funds to support patients from the country traveling to the RMH for kidney care. The partnership with MediStays and the RMH Nephrology Department ensures that patients from rural and regional areas have access to comfortable and convenient accommodation during their treatment journey. This collaboration not only underscores the spirit of giving but also highlights our commitment to enhancing patient care and accessibility. As shared by MediStays Director of Operations, Craig Everitt “By combining the MediStays Agent Portal and funding through John's generous bequest, the Royal Melbourne Hospital team have developed an efficient model to positively impact the lives of patients travelling from the country. They book trusted accommodation with MediStays partners and streamline payments through one portal". Our partnership is a shining example of how generosity and compassion can drive meaningful change in healthcare. John Perrett’s remarkable bequest has not only transformed the landscape of kidney care at the RMH but has also inspired a new generation of philanthropic efforts aimed at improving patient outcomes and accessibility. Through this collaboration, MediStays is proud to play a small role in honouring John’s legacy and supporting the vital work of the RMH’s dedicated nephrology team. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of patients and their families. #theroyalmelbournehospital #royalmelbournehospital #kidneytransplant #countrypatient #ruralpatient #patientaccommodation #financialtoxicity #patientaccess #hospitalaccommodation #patientbequest #RMH #nephrology

We are so proud to support your beautiful artwork Sally! ❤️ #socialimpact #disabilityarts #ndis #artspace #ndisplangoals
Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Bayley Arts and their amazing space, learning about the wonderful programs they run to support budding artists and the community. MediStays is proud to support this program, including early career artist Sally Tran and her recent work titled 'a little bit of love.' It was an extra special pleasure to meet Tess Hens, Bayley Arts' Senior Program Manager…again. As it turns out, we went to the same high school! It's amazing to see how small the world can be. Thank you for having me, Bayley House!
