The story began more than 35 years ago when John Perrett received a kidney transplant at the RMH, a procedure that profoundly changed his life. Grateful for the care he received, John decided to leave a lasting legacy that would benefit future patients in need of nephrology services. Upon his passing, John bequeathed $19 million to the RMH, marking his incredible generosity and the largest donation ever made to the hospital.
