The Museum of Chinese in Australia 澳洲華人博物館 (MOCA) site sits in the heart of Sydney’s Chinatown and will be a place to hear the stories and contributions of Chinese-Australians from the past, present and future.     Foundation CEO Gary Cowan met MOCA’s leadership, Chair Daphne Lowe-Kelley, Deputy Chair Adam Liaw and CEO Tony Stephens to discuss plans for their opening, and how the museum will be used as a hub for the community and more.     The National Foundation for Australia-China Relations looks forward to working with MOCA.

Are you looking for your next historical read? Bathurst historian and past Annual History Award winner Dr Juanita Kwok has co-written a new book 'Bew Chip's Register' with Ely Finch! This book details Hill End resident, Bew Chip and his meticulous records during the gold rush era. "Bew Chip arrived in NSW in 1865, hoping to make his fortune. He was a resident of Hill End and Tambaroora district for 72 years. He died penniless in Lidcombe leaving behind amongst his possessions a little book. Between 1865 and 1890, Bew Chip kept a record of gold he sent back to China.
